Going for £160 again for us (2 adults to include all food, cleaning products, toiletries etc) - I do calender months but hoping to not spend any more in May (no budget left!) so over here in the June thread now. Think we will struggle as its a 5 week month this time but going to give it a good go!

    Hi everyone

Can I go down for £450 again for June, please? Many thanks. May was yet another fail, but have nearly completed a full food stocktake and it looks like we've enough protein for at least a dozen meals (3 adults and 2 littlies), so taking comfort from that! :D

I still have some elderly bread flour and dried yeast, along with loads of dried soup/pulse mixes, so we'll be mostly having soup for some of the other meals! :rotfl:

    Off for a read now!

    A xo

Ive been trying to do this flipping(!) Grocery Challenge since January and I still fail every single, bingle month..
We are now Debt Free after having debts of £30,000 a year and a half ago and even though im so pleased I still dont think Ive got a clear way on how to budget.. This sounds crazy as my debt is gone but im now left with a sinking feeling every day of how I cant manage money..
If its in my purse it just goes.. I am only in charge of the shopping, my dh does the rest, so why do i feel so rubbish and scared stiff.. I look on here and wonder how you all do it??? I have £500 to spend each month which is tons for 4 adults and 1 child, but i will use shopping money for clothes or panto or non food shop and this is the prob.. Hang on! Have I just solved where my money goes!!! HELP!

Morning all on this wet and miserable day! Please can you put me down for £180 this month. I have reduced my budget by £5 a week (baby steps) to see how we get on.

Just DH and I, for dinner tonight as DS & DD are off to friends for theirs. So it will left over ribs from yesterdays BBQ with salad.

Budget is to cover food for 2 adults and 2 kidlets, toiletries & cleaning. I don't include the dog as she has her own special budget that covers all her needs.
