Good evening, I came in under budget for may but will stick with the same amount.
Please can you put me down for
    £400
again. I don`t need anything until next week as i`ve got plenty in and a full store cupboard. I`m going to tighten the reins alittle bit more for june and try my hardest to go down to £300, hoping with the kids back at school next week this should be more doable. I`m sure they`re all going through a growth spurt, as they`ve been eating for england this week. I`m dreading the summer hols already, just for this reason.

  • Completely bombed in May, so going to try again in June. Will try again for £200. If i don't succeed then will look at upping it a little, was at £300 but have dropped it. Think i went too much too soon, but will give it another go.
    Good luck to all.

Going to be receipt collecting in June to work out what we're spending but I hope to stick to meal plans too. I got paid super early (no idea why) but I'll still start on the first, it's easier for my brain. Logically we should be able to do £150 easily but when SO gets anywhere near the shops (it's about 50-50) he ends up spending a fortune. So we'll see. Anything less than £200 would be good.
  • Could I join this challenge for the first time please? I'm trying very hard to stay within budget next month so would like a grocery spend of £150 for June. Really wanting to clear my debts this year and grocery shopping has probably been my biggest downfall in the past!

I have practically full cupboards and freezer so want to get through as much of this as possible but will require me changing my habits greatly. I've done some of this over the last month, buying lots of reduced items in Tesco and looking around for recipes to use them up.

Can I be added on for £320 this month again please. I must improve!!! I know i'm doing loads and loads better than I was before November last year when I was spending a HUGE amount of money on groceries but i'd really like to get this down even further. Bearing in mind what i'm up to in June I should easily accomplish this.

Popped into Mr T on way home from my parents with OH and spent £11.60. Bit annoyed really as apart from £4 on sandwich meat the rest was spent on crisps and chocolate! While husband is out I have hidden some of the sweets away at the back of the pantry to ration them out during the month.

Got a big shop up coming tomorrow, and this together with the stuff already in the house I should be able to manage. Went through the pantry yesterday and now have an xls of food items and bbe dates, so off to menu plan now.
