HI sea my son has BI polar disease...and it isn't as easy to spot as some may think...your DR is luckily on the ball as my son was very ill for 3 years before it was diagnosed and that was only because he put himself in the hospital and this is when he got diagnosed..so I think it's excellent that your DR is sending you for an evaluation..you may well find that there is nothing wrong but stress...but no harm in finding out from a professional..my DS was glad to find out what was wrong...and is much happier now and can manage his everyday life very well now...he talks to all his mates about it and is not stigmatised at all...so do not worry about what anyone else thinks as your only concern is to be happy and healthy..take care ..hope you enjoyed your day...xxxx..

the restaurant was a little different - because it was the evening the kids got little goody bags with crayons and a chefs hat to colour. Then hey made their own pizzas which was lovely and fortunately we left before the sugar rush fully hit all the kids! Didn't take us a long time on the motorway either.

Yes just a quiet night on here as have been looking at mortgage free in 3 years...it's quiet on here tonight...DDs friends were all around earlier as they were all getting ready to go out for her birthday..so that was nice

Hi Sea, I know anything that relates to mental health can sometimes be frightening.....I had a similar reaction when Ryan was referred to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. But I have quickly learned that it is nothing to be afraid of. They are there to help you.

Which restaurant did you go to? It sounds fun!

You are not mad. But you have had to put up with A LOT since I have 'known' you. So it is not a surprise that the edges might be fraying a bit. I am sure the evaluation will be fine, but also make sure you write a list of any questions you can think of so that you can ask them whilst with an expert.

Think I will in a minute! I think it was the actual term of psychiatric unit that got me!!

The restaurant was Est Est Est in East Parade - near where the big old post office used to be. The food wasn't fabulous really but the fact that it felt quite posh and was so kid friendly made up for it!

Thanks Chev was posting while your post came up. I will be writing it all down - got this diary thing anyway so will be able to jot notes down as well
