Well, can't speak very well so haven't gone to work, but I really do feel like I've skiving as I don't feel unwell! Will have to make the most of it doing good things today - I intend to really research these hampers as I see they could be really good and money saving if I do enough research on them! I usually spend (hangs head in shame here) over £1000 at Christmas and HAVE to spend much less than this obviously. More like £200 for 30 people (including the kids, OH and mum). Hard, but not undoable.
I wanted to contact CCCS today, but can't speak clearly enough so will have to do that tomorrow. Bah!
Suddenly finding inspiration and motivation from reading all the threads again - it's been missing for a while!

Sea, glad to see you've got your debt-busting energy back - amazing when you've got full-time work and illness to contend with!
I'm going to have a look at the hampers thread. I haven't even thought about xmas yet, my heart sinks at the thought. Though actually I don't spend very much usually, just my own children, 2 nephews and niece, and two adults (my family is huge so we do a draw and each person only buys for two others).
Edited to say - which hamper thread? There are a lot!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
the finished hampers one - it took me a few hours to read last night, but there are loads of photos to inspire and they are all so friendly and helpful!

oooh off work again but been all inspired to sort stuff out today when I read Hypnos diary - she's on fire today!
So far I've just been catching up on house stuff - done the washing up, rebooted the washing, done a spot of ironing, sorted out hampers - well, putting in different bags what I've already got!.
Now I need to write shopping list, menu plan, file the bills, collect prescription, hoover, sort!!
I should be able to get this done easily. Fingers crossed! Will be on here through out the day trying to get inspiration though
Also must put together a christmas budget as I can see myself overspending as usual, but I'm so hapy with the ideas I've put together so far as I think they'll be really loved!
Anyhoo, best get on!

Wel, I'm back with my cuppa! Done more washing, put it away, filed the paperwork, wrote a few cheques and letters that needed doing. Just need to leave the house to send them, but will have lunch first (cooking now- last night's potatoes, sauted with egg and beans!) and also tryto do a few more things - need to pay the gas and electric bills as well as contact CCCS, but not sure if my voice will hold out!
