Hi Sea....sorry to hear that you are feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment...I'm sure things will pan out for you in a few weeks...it's so hard adjusting to a new routine...isn't it?..and that you'll soon get into the swing of things again....It's so hard for us women working full time with kids and all the other household stuff to do...please make sure you give yourself some you time as well...even if its only a soak in the bath or 30 mins doing something you enjoy...take care xxx

Hi Sea, I'm not surprised you feel tired, working full time is exhausting enough and teaching must be especially so. And running a household on top of that... so don't feel bad if your energy for debt-busting has flagged a little. It will come back.

Hope you're tucked up in bed now and look forward to chatting next time you're about. I miss our little procrastination challenges!

Hi all - well, I have passed through my threshold so will now be getting more money at work so feeling pretty chuffed at that! Also will be getting my full time wage as well, so will be contacting the cccs for a review shortly (need to know how much more I'll be getting once my threshold money goes through and also what S's school dinners, increased childcare etc for William will be).

Also - which I'm also pretty pleased about- I got an invitation for pinecone research at last! :D So should be earning some money from them soon I hope!

Debt wise - still paying CCCS but have raided a few savings pots as having been letting the purse strings loosen somewhat recently. This MUST stop so that I can begin to get my head round getting bargains for Christmas and birthdays coming up.

I've sorted Sophia's party - at home, 10 friends, pass the parcel etc and small birthday tea on last day of term (her's is on the 28th dec so no one will be around then!). Will make cake etc myself so really won't cost (inc. decs and party bags) more than about £30 at the most so not too worried :)

Ebaying has stopped for the time being as just have no tim e- am working in the evenings as rush home from school to pick Sophia up from her school so don't get a chance to do any marking/planning at school but I don' tmind as I feel so lucky to be able to collect her myself!

I'm off to see my mum this weekend and go round to my friends house as well. We're off to Eureka in Halifax on Sunday - I know the kids are going to love it, but it is a little expensive (I didn't get the tesco vouchers sorted in time, but I have a feeling my mum will pay;) ).

Anyhoo, better go now and get on with stuff as my bed is calling soon!

    Hope all are well

Brilliant news about the threshhold - well done you

I was glad to read your cheery post. Lots of good things, combining picking up Sophia and full-time work is quite an achievement and ebaying can take a back seat for now.

    Have a great weekend.

    HI :)

Updated my debt sig - while frustrated that it's not going down faster, and also with all the charges and interest I'm still accruing, I've still cleared £2134.91 since March this year, which is something I'm proud of considering our incomings! Now I'm on more, this should really begin to add up and the debt should go down more dramatically from end of November.

Seems silly, but there doesn't seem so much satisfaction paying off the debt in the DMP as there was when I could afford the payments and made overpayments before getting into full difficulty. Stupid I know as any downwards movement of the total figure is a good thing but I just want rid now!

Anyhoo, best go and file all the papers...how thrilling.
