Oh Sea Bless poor Sophia. Bea had them everywhere...and I mean everywhere but she was 1 and a half then and its so much better if they get ot when they are younger. Try and get willian to catch it now rather than later. Have you tried the calamine cream? I used it and it doesn't dry out and itch like the lotion.
Hope she is feeling better soon, and don't get too carried away with the housework tomorrow!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Sea don't worry the hair does grow back. My dd3 had horrible large scabs for ages and I was sure she would be bald but no trace now.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Thanks - I just hope they stop developing - more and mroe every day. I thought they all came out pretty much at the same time but she got the first 2 on Weds night/thurs morn and they are still coming up now.
I got the calamine aqueous cream stuff which seems quite good, just can't get to the ones in her hair. The one in her mouth is huge and so I'm going to get jelly in the morning for her. I think we've got some ice cream in the freezer already.
I'm feeling worse so think I' going to log off and go to bed!
See you all tomorrow!

sorry to hear about your little one suffering. I still remember getting chicken pox, started of with a visit to A&E, apparently i had them inside my joints, then they came out. Just before we want on holiday to visit my nan (probably one of the first times we ever visited). I hope the little one recovers really quickly.0

If she's scratching at night, could you try the cheap cotton gloves you can wear at night if you have dry hands? I've got some, and if my hands are very dry I put them on over moisturiser, but it would probably help chicken pox spots as well....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Hi
Gosh, I am tired today! She was thirsty during the night, but then swallowing hurts - so I'm assuming they are in her throat. The drs was waste of time, but someone should be ringing me back after 12ish.
Seaxwyn - Sophia's right eye is quite swollen - does this mean she's got a pox in her eye? She says her eye is sore, but I don't know!
So much to do and the morning has already gone!
I'm starting at 12 - so hen I'll do 15 min bursts-
Need to:
Kitchen - washing up, sweeping, possible mop(?), put all stuff away.
Dining room - tidy table, put away filing, sweep floor, empty rubbish (navigate huge puddles/floods to get to outside bins!), Clear surfaces, PUT STUFF AWAY!
Stairs - hoover and clear.
Sophia bedroom - change bedding, tidy, hoover and put clothes away.
Our bedroom - change bedding, hoover, tidy, put clothes away.
W bedroom - change bedding, sweep/hoover, tidy and make look a littl emore cosy so he might actually want to stay in there!
Bathroom & loo - hoover, clean all surfaces, tidy toiletries away.
Living room - sweep, tidy away toys, dust all I can (sophia enjoys dusting so if she's up to it she can help)
Right.
Ok.
Kettle on then

oh sea i'm so sorry to hear that sophia is so poorly love her, Sophia may well have one near her eye or there is a gland near there that is swollen and making it comeup. How about getting her to lay a piece of cucumber or a slightly damp but cool tea bag on the eye, that will soothe it without having to try putting cream in it.
I do hope she feels better soon. xxxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
I'll try that - she's curled up watching the BFG on DVD at the moment and seems quite happy
Lots of lovely scabs today, but still some new ones - grrr.
I went to start all the jobs and the is hardly any water pressure - apparently the water has been cut off in certain parts of Blackpool, so it might be switched off soon here - all because of a bit of rain - grrrr. I hope we don't get the water switched off as I wanted Sophia to have a nice soothing bath later.
Ah well. Will drink my tea and get on witht he things that don't need water
