Hi all - thanks again for all the support - it helps to know I'm not alone with it all.
There is an al-anon meeting on a tuesday near me - I might go along next week. I looked it up the other day - must have known what was going to happen! He managed another night without drinking - so that's 2 nights, which is the longest he's gone for several months. We shall see how it all goes- he's got the drs today.
Been quite a night here - DD and DS decided to be the children from hell and have been up and down since 3am!! Arghh -finally admitted defeat at 5.30am and have been lying on sofa groaning at them. They are now fed and playing with the barbie dolls house Sophia got for her birthdayTook me and my friend ages to put all the blasted stickers on last night!!
Need to get a few things done today - must pay in the cheque today which my dad gave me (again!!) so that'll be done. Also need to write those thank you letters if I get a few moments during hte day.
MSE wise nothing much happening - will be doing free kid activities tho as we are both skint!!
Hugs to all
Hope you're all ok.

Morning Sea, sorry to read you have had such an early start. I think the fact that you had looked up the al-anon details last week says quite a lot about the way you feel.
I hope things go well for OH at the doctors - regardless of whether you have any future as a couple, he needs to get the drinking sorted for the sake of his own health and his children.
Have a good day - it is probably better that you have a friend who is also skint with you - the last thing you need right now is to have "money no object" attitudes thrust at you to knock you down even further.

Exactly - I'm finding it hard not to think **** it and go out spending - actually REALLY hard - but thankfully she's here and I've got you lot keeping me in check!!
Fortunately we've got a lot of crafty type christmas pressies so that will be fun today - it feels very cold here too. I guess we'll pop to the playground but I think further afield is just too cold!

I am all for going for a bracing walk in the cold air.......but not today. Great that theres an alanon meeting near you - my advice would be to give i a go, for min 6 "sessions" and see how it goes! Can be a great source of suppost & great to know there are people in the same boat!
Sorry to hear kids played up - prob the excitement of Chrstmas & cabin fever?!! May also be picking "stuff" up and feel unsettled by that?
Hugs for you! Great that mate also skint so you get it togeather!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
On reading your diaries you are a lot stronger than what you think, you will also find the strength that you need to make the right decision and one that is right for you as a family whether that is with your o/h or without him. Just a thought ...you could still manage to pay off £500.00 per month without your o/h been there???...
hmmm without all the aggro that you put up with and with you stating that you are not sure whether you love him or not, for me I know which way I would be looking and thats the opposite direction of where he is.....!!
take care,
Best wishes for the New Year to you and all other peeps who follow your diaries.:beer:I love to wake up and meet the day. I think that life is not to be wasted or thrown away.:D0
