I'm back at work tomorrow. Have packed bag with two week's worth of Mug Shots (bought on offer). When they've gone I'll be making my own pasta to microwave at work. I've just got to keep away from the chocolate and crisp machine...0

Just imagine the machine is a big filing cabinet full of lots and lots of booooring stuff and definitely not full of lovely chocolate and crisps :rotfl:Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000

So much for my low calorie lunches, I wasn't feeling motivated lastnight either so threw lunch together this morning. I didn't realise that I'd run out of my frozen chicken & cheese emergency stash bags to go with cous cous, and had no sandwich fillings available. So, today's lunch is a bag of crisps, 4 squares of chocolate from a big bar that's been in the fridge for a couple of weeks, and best of all, a slice of my DP's birthday cake! :rotfl:
It's not all bad as I have a chicken cup a soup here at work which I'll have & that will make me feel like I've eaten something sensible, and I did take a chicken breast out of the freezer before I left for work so that I can prepare a new batch of cous cous stash bags!£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

Curry powder or paprika is nice mixed in cous cous, ideally with fried courgette or pepper but is ok on it's own with lemon juice or olive oil:beer:0 -

Thanks happy_bunny, unfortunately I am one of the fussiest individuals on the planet, my biggest problem is that I don't eat veggies or salad, so both the courgette and pepper is out, I also don't do flavour which definitely rules out the curry powder, although I do wonder how I'll get on with paprika - I will have to try it.£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

Hi, just getting in to this again so have had a browse through. Plus I love reading about food
It's snacks that get me. Couple weeks ago co-op had an offer on variety packs (remember them?) and they worked really well as office standbys! The other one is buying lots of veg and chopping it all up so can grab from the fridge in the morning.
I had leftovers of Moroccan one pot chicken (chicken, rice, lentils, dates) and a homemade banana, yoghurt and date muffin (cheap overripe bananas and dates leftover from the chicken, rest of ingredients storecupboard). We got about 6 big portions from the chicken so worked out roughly £0.90/ portion. It was an online recipe, recommend it!
Also recommend baking muffins/biscuits if you have time. Lifts your spirits to have 'luxury' items that are within budget. Muffins didn't take too long last night and made them while I was cooking tea.0 -
Evening
I didn't go to work yesterday and was starving at lunchtime, so I had my dinner at lunchtime, and my lunch at dinner time!
Today I was back to normal, and had lunch at the traditional time to have lunch..... 9.45amI am always hungry, I need to take more food to work with me.
