Hi BW sounds like all is going really well x
Just a point i make handmade cards and i only make them for my specials (close relatives)as they do not work out cheaper, for everyone else i go to card warehouse and pay 59p. Homemade seem cheaper but when you add up the total cost of the materials somes card can cost about £2.50 to make.
Also i do know its a way off but seriously if you can afford it put £2 or more a week in a tin until xmas. I always go sale shopping and the day after boxing day i hit town. I buy all my gifts for adults and kids birthdays and adult gifts for the following xmas obviously all half price. If you only buy a few gifts in then you have less to worry about through the year and it was budgeted for too.You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !
Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?0 -
Settling in, a bit of nervous energy yet. I'm starting to find my feet.Sounds like a plan to me - so is your wife in agreement with the short-term loan plans?
Are you enjoying your new job? I think when you first started you found it a bit strange, so I'm hoping you've settled in & are loving it!
I spoke to my wife and as long as I'm within £1000 or so she'll help me out. But she does want a signed letter from me as a promissary note that the money will be accounted for and will go straight back into her account on the 1st.
So, it's get-nervous time on all fronts.US student loan (2.48%): [STRIKE]$19,152.65[/STRIKE] $2700.19

I've started a piggy bank for Xmas and big occasions, so it's all coming together.

Well, it gives you an idea of how my wife prizes her money.catewithers wrote: »Blimey! That's a bit full on!
Actually, she just offered to lend me the money now, for my upcoming birthday, as she can't find me a present (it doesn't help that I'm not fussy). But I'm at the low ebb money-wise, so that's a lot of cash.
She wishes I was a woman; she was walking through Covent Garden today and found the handbag.
I may settle for a pair of cycling shorts, a book or a CD.US student loan (2.48%): [STRIKE]$19,152.65[/STRIKE] $2700.19
