Limos and Fire Engines !!!!!! is going on. I cant even remember what I done but it was possibly nothing otherwise I would remember it.

Oh I would be mega peed off and as for this parent whose child you look after I would be hastily cancelling that arrangement from immediate effect. Also I would (and this is being me as I am like this) would investigate some super duper other mode of transport in which to get your son home. You have time yet to arrange something and I would be ensuring that your son gets an even better time... You need to show these parents and their children that it hasnt affected you or him. As he is going to be going to a new school that the others are not going he should look forward to making real friends and not ones who actually dont give a !!!!. Cause even as children they are obviously aware he hasnt been included, and if they were that much friends they would be concerned too.

As another poster suggested if op was to give us an idea of area they live we could all investigate some other form of transport that would out do their limo or fire engine.

A limo for a 6 year old, !!!!!!, when there are thousands of children living below the poverty line in the UK. You should be ashamed of yourself

I thinkk you are wise to be careful who you let your child go off with. No doubt parents thought their child was safe with Mr Saville!

And their childminders, and family members and friends who turn out not to be what they thought...:(

Nevertheless, one can both make new connections and be careful. I would never recommend, for example, that someone ignore gut instinct, or get contact details and meet people and make sure they are comfortable with everything and everyone their kids meet.

No disrespect meant to bikers at all :) I know a number personally and I would trust them all completely. It was more the idea of inviting a stranger to ride off with my child I was thinking of, it sort of goes against everything we teach them doesn't it. But I do get your point completely, I realise in this case it probably is me over reacting.

I don't think it's over reacting, I think it's just I don't think for a minute this would be a phone call or a message on a forum...can you take my kid god knows where , I was imagining the people would meet, swap contact numbers, that the mother might be there to get the number plate, and the route would be discussed that there would be many, many witnesses and that there might all in all be less danger from such an encounter than many other situations people barely think about.

You should be ashamed of yourself for not reading the thread properly, I don't even have a 6 year old.

!!!!!!. kids in Limos at school! What next helicopters?

If I was the OP I would give their child the day off. When having to fill in the consent form I would clearly state that its to avoid the humiliation of having to walk passed a line of limos on the way home.

Is it worth asking the other parents why they are passive aggressively bullying your son?

I have to say that this 'tradition' stinks.

I would do this, I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut! I'd want to know why it was mentioned and why he was excluded.

I hope you get it sorted OP :)

Year 6 is age 11. Last time I checked my own children were living below the poverty line. They've never been in a limo. Poor sausages :(

6 or 11, does it make it right? Not really

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

  • As one other user said before, just get him picked up early and take him somewhere special for the day so he doesn't have to see all the other kids having fun.

Shame on the other parents though, all seems a bit petty to me.
