Tesco Car Park Complaint

Hello all, just wanting some advice regarding an experience at our local Tesco today.
I was driving around the store car park to a space, this is a car park owned and used only by the supermarket. There was a small zebra crossing up ahead, and a man seemingly waiting to cross. I slowed down to let him cross and even tried waving him, but he didn't move and seemed to be looking at something on his phone. So I went ahead and decided to drive over the crossing. As I did, he suddenly began to step forward onto the crossing and nearly hit my car.
I was quite shaken by this, and my children were in the car with me. The man (mid 30s I'd say) started shouting that I should look where I was going, then another man approached and said he had seen what had happened and that I had "sped towards the crossing without paying any attention". To my surprise, the man who had suddenly got involved informed me he was one of the store managers and he then asked if the other man was ok, before telling me to get back in my car and find somewhere else to shop!
I protested that the individual had not made any attempt to cross the road, so I had no choice but to cross the zebra crossing. The manager told me that I needed to check up on my highway code and that I was lucky he was not informing the police! He then told me to drive away and find somewhere else to do my shopping! All while my children were watching.
I am absolutely fuming and really want something done about this. I felt the manager was completely out of line in how he acted, and I don't feel I could have done anything different. What if I do complain and they call the police? Will they have CCTV that could incriminate me, even though I have done nothing wrong? I'm really not sure what to do. I don't want to contact the store in case this manager sees the complaint!

Tesco or asda? your header and first line don't match!
To be honest, I'd just ignore it and continue to shop there if it was most convenient for me.0 -

The store may well have cctv but whether it covers the crossing involved is another matter.0 -
Sorry for confusion, this was at Tesco. I went to do my shopping at Asda after the incident.0

I would let it go. You have nothing to gain from complaining.
I would like an apology for the actions of their manager, especially in front of my children. I found the way he acted very threatening, surely head office would like to know they are employing this type of person?0 -

How was he threatening? How were the children affected by this? Hopefully when you drove on you told the children what a silly man he was and laughed it off ...0 -

He was threatening in his aggressive manner, that is not the way to deal with customers. There was no laughing this off, especially when the man allegedly crossing the road had just repeatedly shouted the "c word" at me at the top of his voice.0 -
You will make matters a whole lot worse if you start shouting off about it. It's not worth the bother. Swallow your pride, put it to the back of your mind, and move on. Shop somewhere else for now, then go back to Tesco when it has all been forgotten, that's if you want to. Watch your temper, it could get you into bother, sometimes it's best to back off.

The actions of the other man are nothing to do with the store manager.
I have read your original post again and still fail to see anything aggressive from the manager.
What good is a half hearted apology going to do you?0
