I have read your original post again and still fail to see anything aggressive from the manager.
What good is a half hearted apology going to do you?
Were you there? I didn't think it necessary to repeat the conversation word for word.
I had done nothing wrong and was being shouted and sworn at by a stranger. The manager accused me of dangerous driving, threatened me with the police and apologies if I wasn't clear in my initial post, but he did say to me "we could do without pillocks like you here, shop somewhere else in future, I'm not having you in the store today".
Do people here really think that is not worth complaining about? Do you think that is an acceptable way for a manager to act?0 -

We can only go on the information you give us.
Your story is changing with each post - perhaps you need to refresh your memory as to what really happened?0 -
Are you sure he was a store manager, he could have been anybody. Why was a manager strolling about in the car park, surely they have more important things to do. Maybe he was just some deranged person looking for a fight. You're best keeping a low profile. It takes a lot stronger person to walk away, than stay and fight.

There are no highway code rules in a private car park. It is not a public road, so technically you did not break any rules. SM car parks put in highway code signs to try and help users stick to the rules, be civil etc etc, but they cannot enforce them and neither can the Police. The manager is a jobsworth who knows absolutely nothing.
However, did you pip your horn at the man seemingly oblivous to your approaching car, waving at someone who is on a mobile phone will not work as their mind will be on other things. I should know as I knocked one down who stepped into a bus lane on an actual road while I was driving my bus. When I asked if he was OK he said what was I doing driving a bus down a bus lane. Go figure that one out. If you see anyone who looks distracted like that in future a small pip on your horn should alert them to your presence - that is what a horn is for.0 -
Personally I'd leave it, but if anyone is unhappy with service they're entitled to make a complaint. The best thing to do would be to contact Tesco customer services and ask if they'd review the matter, giving them as much information as possible but without quoting words unless you're absolutely certain of them. They'll probably genuinely look into it internally and might well send five pounds as well as a goodwill gesture.0

When I was spoken to aggressively, and sworn at, I reported the offender to the police, who 'had a word'.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I don't see why not - verbal abuse/aggression can happen anywhere. Had the OP been physically assaulted the location would make no difference, surely.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
