I think that people are getting so obsessed with their mobile phones that they are not paying attention to basic safety issues.Like looking where they are going when crossing a road.

No they never, the guy was on the phone looking distracted then decided he wanted to cross, how about he gives way to the driver rather than just automatically think a car will stop.

If it were me id have got out the car and said to him "can you make up your mind, are you on the phone or crossing the road?"

I reckon the guy on the phone and the manager were high on the fruity glue Tesco now sells.
