A little more than a week in and I have not yet strayed :j
But I have had a tragedy - I found one of my cats under the bed totally paralized. Looks like he had a blood clot as they can't find any problems on the xrays or blood tests. But he is less than a year old (found him in a box with his brother is September (yes, I now have 4 cats )
So he has cost me fortune at the vets (worth every penny) and there will be no overpay this month. He just came back home but is very high maintenance (a bit like me) as he can't move his front legs. Hopefully this will get better though. But the sad thing is that his brother has totally rejected him!
But I still love him!
Anyway - very happy I had my emergency savings!Mortgage March 2013: [STRIKE]£55,956 [/STRIKE]£38,500 (aim to pay off by 2020)

Your poor kitty!
Glad to hear he's slowly on the mend though, and sounds like he's lucky to have you

Pffffffffffffffffffffffff have been MIA quite a while! Have been very bad on the mortgage front! Just got back my motivation and did an OP of £800 yesterday. I am really going to have to tighten my belt if I want to make my goal!
Am very very ashamed of myself! My emotion thingies are not working at the mo! Otherwise I would put up plenty of the *embarrassment* ones
Off now to sort out my budget and see how and if I will be able to achieve my goal!Mortgage March 2013: [STRIKE]£55,956 [/STRIKE]£38,500 (aim to pay off by 2020)

On the positive side I managed some of my resolutions - 11 out of 14. See if I can get back on track with the other 3. Just makes me wonder where all my money went as I have not been spending it on my usual junk!

I have seven pay days left this year and I need another £11,200 to OP
That means I need £1,600 per payday - not sure how that is going to work out. There is always the chance of a good bonus - this year started really well for me but has really been slowing down. So if it doesn't pick up again after the summer probably will not be much.
I might have to bring my goal down to £8,000 or I could just shoot for the stars and go for it.
Will see how I manage next payday and decide then.
Am off now to check my accounts and see what I have been overspending on!Mortgage March 2013: [STRIKE]£55,956 [/STRIKE]£38,500 (aim to pay off by 2020)

I have frittered a lot of money away the past few months and have spent a lot of money on "holidays". I went on one already and had two more planned. I have tried to cancel the second one - I will see what they say but that could save me £450 which I could then use to overpay.
I am also going to Greece with my mum - don't want to cancel that one but I have started a pot where I want to put spare cash so I have my spending money ready and it does not interfere with my overpays. Already have €90 in there and I would like €500. A bit greedy I know but the hotel is only bed and breakfast and I know from experience my mum can be a bad influence on me so I am going prepared
Just transferred the money to pay for the holiday so I do not need to worry about that anymore. My mum still owes me €350 for her share and that will go in my pot. So nearly there!
For my food budget I will be getting 19 meal cheques of €6 as I worked 19 days last month. So that is €114 and I have €100 in my wallet. I would like to make it to the end of the month on that. For one person this is a lot but in Belgium food is more expensive and they don't do the same last minute prices on "old" food. Here they would rather throw it away. BUT... I draw the line at dumpster diving
Tonight I have a free meal at my parents and tomorrow a barbecue with a friend. Will stuff my face so I don't have to buy any food over the weekend
Have a great MSE weekend everyone (I'm unusually chirpy because I work on Saturdays and my weekend starts now!)Mortgage March 2013: [STRIKE]£55,956 [/STRIKE]£38,500 (aim to pay off by 2020)

Very nice man accepted my holiday cancelation

Next month that will be an extra £450 that can go to overpay - I will be aiming for £1,900 in total - I really want to get under £40.000Mortgage March 2013: [STRIKE]£55,956 [/STRIKE]£38,500 (aim to pay off by 2020)

Holidays is my weakness! We don't have a flash car (or even a good car) or anything - but we like our holidays!!!
Well done on being so dedicated to cancel the holiday and THEN pay it your mortgage!!! Bravo :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
