But I do still need some things for the new place. Don't even have a bucket - been borrowing one from work. :o Will also still need some cat liter to last me till the end of the month and some chicken for my tikka masala that I have planned for next week. Mmmmmmmmmmmm food - am getting hungry already :D

Hi there, thought I would pop in and say Hi.

Your book list is very interesting, there are a lot of books on there that I have read. I am currently reading Frank Baum Wizard of Oz series of books. I never realised there are 13 books in the Oz series and they are really good. Though it will take me a while to get through them.

Meal plan looks good as well and the free pizza was a bonus :T
  • Hi Nymphadora - I didn't know the Wizard of Oz was a whole series either! Will look into that when I have finished reading this lot!

Went for our dinner last night and managed to only spend €50 out of the €100 budget. So that is another €50 in the kitchen kitty! Still need €650! Am hoping to get it together as soon as possible as washing up in the bathroom is far from ideal. :o

Now I am just counting down the days till payday :D Should be tuesday or wednesday!

  • Got paid today :j:j:j

And just like last month I am already broke :(

Paid all my bills - have spending money (€50) and food money (€200) in cash and sent the rest to the UK so will probably be able to overpay about £1000 tomorrow.

Had to use all my willpower today to make the transfer. There are sales and I want to shop shop shop. How sad am I :o

Got me thinking that I need to get my priorities sorted out and focus less on material things and more on experiences. Like having a nice walk, going out with friends, trips, laughing [STRIKE]at[/STRIKE] with my cats :D

Have to do some food shopping tonight - will try and stick to the budget and keep it healthy and nutritious!

  • Hello Italy was very lovely however I got a big old virus the next week and ended up in hosp with hepatitis, unfortunately was suppose to see my friend in france 3 weeks ago with kids and had to cancel cos of health and missed a work camping trip in Suffolk cos of my health so it has been a bit of an odd one for me. Feel much better now and bracing myself for the great return next week but thank you for asking...

No diet going on in this house I am ashamed to say.

So what happened with the money? Did it get credited to your account or have you gone quiet cos you're banged up for torching the branch when it all got too much for you????? I would not have been able to sleep I would have been so blooming annoyed with that machine.... Then the automated telephone calls would have topped it off for me but once finally speaking to someone I would be angry but polite and patient which makes me feel even more annoyed that I can't be honest and just tell them they have deeply !!!!ed me off. I wait to hear.

Hope you are well and jolly and life treats you well :) x
Debt Sept 2012 £140,000 end age 65.5 (maximum) four mortgages in total
    April 2016 £114,599.83 (3 mortgages now)
Nil debt for some many years now perhaps 8. Need to save for a tent for holiday this year but nil else.
Over paying about £500 per month but fancy £600 so will have to think of some very money saving techniques...
  • Have not been on here in ages and ages! Have been very bad moneywise!!!! Except on my mortgage. Will update sig right now but I am at €5600 overpay!. So that is one goal achieved! But have been having trouble with the new house - no internet, leaky roof, huge costs for paint etc.

So no Penny, I did not get banged up :D and I did eventually get my money - it took about a week. I have calmed down now though! Now that I have my internet up and running I hope I will be around more often as my motivation is not great at the moment!
