Is there any way you can slide the glass out so you could soak it in the bath with a strong solution? I know not all ovens make that possible.

As for the elbow grease lacking ... maybe you could save the task for when you have a pmt week, or for when your OH ticks you off? I find I'm most industrious at those times ;) :shhh:

I have had a good look at it and apart from unscrewing the whole door (which I have been known to do on my old oven door!) it looks like elbow grease is the answer. Its only 6 months old so how did it get so bad? I think I'd better go to PO and see if they have any more robust scourers. Not MS I know but necessary. If it doesn't work then I will leave it until I feel like exploding about something. At this rate I won't get anything else done today.

Okay I changed my plan slightly, I did some more housework and an ebay session (only went the post office :p ) then I've just made myself a bacon butty with some bacon that had to be used up

    So achieved so far today:
    • Dailies
      • [STRIKE]Beds[/STRIKE] - Our bedding is out on the line and I'm hoping I'll be able to put it back on today ;)
      • Uniform
      • [STRIKE]Evening meal -[/STRIKE]
      • [STRIKE]WM - bedding. & CLOTHING [/STRIKE] towel/cloth to do as well  But leaving that until I've finished doing the kitchen floor properly :o
    • Ebay
      • Items to dispatch - 5 gone, another erm ... 20+ to go
      • Update notebook
    • Ironing - only a few bits that weren't dry enough last night ;)
    • Kitchen
      • [STRIKE]Clean floor[/STRIKE] - Could do with another going over though.
      • Sort fridge
      • Window & sil
      • [STRIKE]Door / drawer / appliance fronts[/STRIKE]
    • Declutter
      • Paperwork / filing. - Getting there slowly.
Just about to attack my ebay notebook/account (to update whats been posted etc;) ) , and then get ready for another post office run, hopefully with the recorded items. I also need to pick up some more packaging. :o Onwards and ebaywards
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Afternoon, just a quick updated post. hugs to all who want one.. Baby had his longest ever lie in today till 8am but then we were running round like idiots for DH to get to work and me to take one the dogs to vets, baby now is on this 2nd snooze of the day, lazy bones. Not feeling too great today, feel really down, not sure if I'm coming down with something or if everything is coming back to surface again. To top it off had an agruement with Vet about my dog and refusing to give me some valium for his nevres, have used 8tablets in the past year and she didn't want to give me more. Made me feel like I drug him for an easy life, am supposed to just leave to almost have a heartattack at firework time am I?! I love my dogs, am responsible with them and feel upset by her treatment, definatley with not she her again. Not done too much of list, did alot yesterday so have been playing with baby most of day.

Maralum well done on getting out
Riverside Jo well done, youve achieved lots in your first. Some good tips on here for oven, know another user Michelle says to wipe it after every use with white vingear or something like that, sure someone will correct me if needed

Got a PO run to do for ebay and then makro after school for a job olot of white vinegar amongst other things, thanks for reminding me to add it to the list tracy :)

    See you all later

    Hi everyone,

I haven't been around for over a month now - Easter holidays, then two week placement wrecked my usual routine! In truth, I'm only here today because it's raining too much for me to be outside gardening!:D

I had to do some housework this morning before I even thought about sitting down at the PC, or nothing would have got done.

So, I haven't done the proper list, but I do have a shiny sink, have wiped worktops, cleaned cloakroom, cleaned bathroom, two loads of washing and have also vaccuumed all downstairs.

    Enough for today!

    Good morning everyone,
The sun is shining again at last after a week of rain.

No matter what, I will reach level 3 today. I am going to print out the list

    My own list:

[STRIKE]Make important call to embassy re passport[/STRIKE]clean stairs
    hoover and tidy LR
    sort out sock bag
[STRIKE]getting Asda delivery so unpack and put away[/STRIKE]

"I will add to list if I have more time. I will switch the radio on when I get home from the schoolrun and get stuck in straight away, not sitting down first with a cuppa and the computer will stay switched off until I have done the kitchen!!"

  • Have done all of list today except paperwork which I aim to do after this break. Have had oven professionally cleaned last week, so now I just need to keep it that way, and not let it build up again.
