Hi all,
Apologies if this is not the correct forum and any re-directing to the right one would be most welcome!
Basically, I wondered if anyone had successfully taken action against Topcashback for them not paying out on a previously agreed amount (and I have this in writing from them), and thus far I have been waiting 18 months since I made the original transaction! They owe me £56.00, so no small sum. During one of the many times I have tackled them about it, they then said that cashback is not guaranteed. How come??! That's the whole basis of their site, isn't it??
I'm now considering taking action against them but don't know where to start. I've sent numerous nudges / messages on their site (all they say is "we've sent it to the Merchants network / we're waiting to hear from the Merchants network), and also flagged it on their Facebook site, but it's just the same story.
Has anyone taken action against TCB to get what they are fairly owed? Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks

This post from the tcb thread may help.

Quite a few have waited 1 year or more, hence the tcb forum being pulled! I'm on the verge of a 1 year claim (happy birthday soon).
Plenty of advice there how to get your cash or how to report tcb to the regulatory bodies. Sadly no longer available due to probable damage limitation.
Check to see if there is an Ombudsman associated to your purchase (financial for example). Saves taking the legal route and let the Ombudsman access the complaint.
Good luck.No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.0 -
Hi folks,
Can I please ask when is the best time to downgrade from the premium version of TCB?
My renewal date is coming up, and I don't use the service enough to warrant the fee.
Should you cancel before, on or the after the anniversary date?
Thanks.0 -
I ordered an iPhone in September last year from Dial a Phone via Topcashback expecting £40 cash back to be paid. The transaction didn't track so I submitted a missing cashback claim. I heard nothing until March this year when I was told that my claim had been denied due to providing an invalid order number, I then submitted various other information as requested by TCB but have still not had my cashback, I feel that I am just being fobbed off by TCB and despair of ever receiving my cashback.0

I am fuming that my lastminute.com cashback has been declined, after initially tracking. It seems so hit and miss these days I'm really losing faith in topcashback. They used to be great but I've had so many lately that have either not tracked at all or have declined that I'm getting really sick of it. :mad:0

Anyone else noticed how a lot of transactions are being denied payment I have had a few the last few weeks. Also am still chasing up untracked items nearly a year later as well.
Yup, i have just discovered over the weekend that two of my Debenhams cashback have been denied. It really makes me think that the whole cashback thing is a scam. The percentage of the cashback is only used to attract members to click on the link then make a purchase.
And also, I like the statement given by TCB that the cashback is not guaranteed. If that's the case, why bothered to use TCB?
The bottom line is, cashback is a consequence of a purchase. If we have made a purchase, then we should receive our cashback, as simple as that.
Merchants denying claims, members using discount codes, etc etc are just excuses. Just because a discount code was used, it doesn't make the purchase free of charge! I spend my money then I should get my cashback, it can't be more straightforward than that!0 -

I am so disappointed in Topcashback over the past year..
I ordered a mobile phone via EE.. Topcashback tracked within a couple days, then a month or so later went to £0 - I raised an enquiry to support, and sent the reference number to them... still waiting.
Motorbike Insurance last month, has not tracked - raised an enquiry.. still waiting.. no tracking whatsoever.
Gala Bingo last month, no tracking whatsoever.. yet when I spoke to Gala about a query, they knew I had come to them via a 3rd party.. support query raised.
Ladbrokes sportsbook back in June.. not tracked at all, support query raised.. nothing to show for it.
Travel Insurance last month.. nothing to show for it whatsoever, not even £0
New motor insurance policy for moped on Tuesday, nothing showing yet... will be raising support ticket today.
Before you ask Topcashback, I do clear cookies regularly.. I also play by the rules..
I am about to go back to Quidco.. shamemy car insurance is due for renewal mid-September..

Some of them track immediately and some take a day or so. If it hasn't tracked after 24-48 hours I would suggest you raise a claim.standingupformyself wrote: »I am so disappointed in Topcashback over the past year..

Same here - TCB is so unreliable these days I am sorely tempted to go back to Quidco as well. :mad:0 -
i think TCB days are now numbered as they seem to be keeping the cashback for them and making out its not being paid to them.0
