Hi everyone,
@cm7 - If you would like me to look into a concern on your account please email me directly at mse@topcashback.co.uk
@legendkiller2k8 - We, like other cashback sites have a lot of freedoms but overall we have to work withing the commission earning process. In that sense, yes there will be certain answers you get across the board no matter how frustrated you are with the decisions such as with declined cashback. However, it wouldn't be fair to just pay off those frustrated members without consideration given to those members who wish to use the site, as it was designed to, to gain cashback as a bonus for clicking the links on our site. The above response was hand typed in answer to the collection of messages that followed previously using no scripts or previous responses used elsewhere.
Best wishes,

I emailed you over a week ago, you replied that the merchant has a good payment record and to wait and see.
Could you respond to some of my specific concerns from my previous posts regarding the way you present payment information of your site? Specifically the 99.xx% satisfied number and how it's presented vs the reality. The reviews defaulting to highest rated, not just initially but each time you change page. Demonstrably false payment times being displayed on site.
The way all of this is presented on your site is very misleading, I've raised some very valid points that you've so far refused to address. You keep going back to your greatest hits of "cashback isn't guaranteed", "we can only pay when we get paid" and "we're doing all we can" - if that is the case why do you go out of your way to show a "better than best case scenario" on merchant pages?
This thread is Topcashback Questions and Answers, there's not much of the latter at present!0 -
As I have said many, many times in the past on this thread, TCB should make it absolutely crystal clear and prominent on their home page that CASHBACK is NOT GUARANTEED.0

The above action should clear the matter up literally
Financial Ombudsman Service wrote on 23 January informing me that it had written to Co-Operative Bank to let them know I had a complaint.
Will await Co-operative Bank final response which should now be sooner than its previous " in due course"
Coining a phrase word used often on this thread "I hope"/ hopefully the matter will be satisfactory concluded within the anniversary of the transaction - 18th April0 -

I'm sorry TCB, you and the merchants cannot wriggle out paying by hiding behind unfair and unlawful T&Cs.
The banks tried and failed,
The airlines tried and failed.

Hi Everyone,
@cm7 – You can click on a link on each rating that takes you to a page that explains it. There it does explain it’s based on the ‘ total number of successful transactions that have occurred since the star rating came into effect’. I’m sure you can understand we really can’t present anything more truthful than real statistics on the merchant.
The review sorting has been addressed on this forum previously. The true issue is, if you have a successfully tracked transaction that is paid within it's estimate, you have less need to get in touch and on the whole people are less likely to leave a review. As you have pointed out in your post we need to share a True and real representation of the cashback experience. Displaying a large amount of negative reviews wouldn’t be doing that and this is why we don’t do it.
We’re working hard to encourage more users to write a review when they have a positive experience and I open this encouragement to this forum. If we find this to be successful and the number of reviews we get is representative of the cashback experience with the merchant we’ll be happy to review our stance on this matter but we are not willing to display comments that do not always present the real picture of a merchant.
Most sites will display by most recent by blocking, deleting and censoring negative reviews. We don’t think that is fair. We will therefore remain to list these reviews as they are.
While I appreciate yourself and the members on this forum have questions to ask about their transactions I would also like to emphasise here that we have access to all the transactions that take place and have a birds eye view of all the information and not just information from those members who require assistance.
@ 2010 – As we have addressed on previous occasions you agree to the terms of our site when you join. If you do not agree to the terms that cashback is not guaranteed that is your personal judgment.
@ JPears – Without cashback sites, the commission system would still operate as it did before cashback sites but people like yourself would lose out as you wouldn't get the chance to earn any commission for yourself. There are plenty of websites that would benefit like the ones who earn commission already without you knowing about this
I am sorry you feel taking this system back to it's original form where people can not earn the money for themselves is what should happen. We do disagree as we would rather members get the chance to earn 100% of this commission than other companies.
Best wishes,

You'd make a great politician. You respond to the questions you have answers prepared for, not the questions people actually ask.0
