Hi Matt (If it's Matt that replies ! :)).

I've just tried to go through TCB to take out a new 12 month contract at Three Mobile and both times the Three site went wrong and failed to add my selection to the basket.

I assume it's recorded both visits, but both will obviously not be valid as both times no order was completed.

I've just tried switching browsers and I've succesfully completed the purchase, so assuming all three visits to the site are going to track, could i maybe get the first two removed as they won't obviously complete ?.

Unsurprisingly no one from TCB has commented on my issues.
TCB has as usual declined my cash back as they state they are not the last referrer. They are. I have no idea how to get around this as no one from TCB bothers to explain why they can't see that they ARE who I go through.

If anyone has the name & email for a CEO at TCB please do let me know.

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday!

@jasonwatkins - If the first two purchases do track, i'll be more than happy to have a winter clear up and remove these for you. If they do track please just drop me an email at mse@topcashback.co.uk and details of the transactions you would like removing and i'll get that sorted for you :)

@Dark Star - The forum thread has been very busy over the past couple of weeks and so I do apologise if your query was missed. It's not TopCashback who decide who the last referrer was, if we were it would make sense for us to make us the last referrer for all purchases as it would mean declined transactions would decrease and happier members.

However, this would neither be fair or right. While a member can certainly say they visited our site and made the purchase immediately which is probably what they did, if cookies aren't cleared there could still be cookies on your device which increased the chance that the money will be paid to someone else and not TopCashback.

I understand this is one of the declined reasons that's not as specific as others and causes frustration. However, it's only provided to us if another referrer has been recognised for the purchase.

Best wishes,
Matt

Thanks, I'll definitely do that once things have tracked. I've been checking throughout the day and all three visits have definitely been recorded so I'll wait to see what tracks and let you know.

Always useful to see on this forum which merchant(s) are causing the issue(s) as often we can point in right direction regarding contacting companies directly

You are far better off spending your time chasing up your issue direct with the merchant and copy in a complaint to the CEO.
When you made your purchase via TCB, there will be an electronic trace. This will confirm exactly where you tracked from and will be accurately dated and time stamped. Let the merchant investigate. Wasting your time trying to resolve with TCB!
Good luck, but maybe name the merchant?

TCB are still messing about with my SSE issue! And what a shambles it's become! £73.50 promoted and only £31.50 showing as paid (after asking to raise as a TCB complaint) and that was a claim for the short tracking! Totally unacceptable to be messed about like this and if not fully resolved by next Tuesday (15th), I'll issue a complaint direct to SSE and supply the 'evidence' (hassle I've had to endure). TCB may not be customer focused, but let's see how SSE treat their customers. No issues at all that it's been a fiasco and definitely needs investigating, even if just to put in place procedures to prevent it happening again. Someone has messed up and I'm the one suffering!
I'll update.
No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.

• Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a good start to the week.

@TheBanker - Overall, we believe the system is much better and much smoother. We understand for the vast amount of offers that this does mean unfortunately desktop upload isn't available and this is one of the compromises we had. However, this now allows us to implement changes such as speeding up the process, providing instant declined reasons and the ability to re-upload all of which have been regularly suggested on this forum.
However, this certainly isn't the end for desktop upload, from time to time there will be some available. Of course we'll also take your feedback forward to see if desktop upload is a viable possibility for the new Grocery offers.

@Bougainvillea - Do you mind dropping me an email to mse@topcashback.co.uk? This is certainly something I will try my best to help you with.

@Shrimply - I am glad the situation has been sorted for you.

Best wishes,
Matt

Dear Matt

I am still waiting for the Co-op car insurance cashback of £63 since February. Your email above offering to help was over one month ago, yet the cashback is still showing as pending. I am very unhappy about this extremely long delay. How can this be resolved promptly?

You can take court action against someone if they owe you money and won’t pay you back.

Have you not had your 'deadlock' letter yet?
They do have 8 weeks, from initial complaint though.
Loving the increasing compensation claim though. Keep at it and even if they pay the £150 and refuse the compensation, you can still take the compensation claim to the FOS.
