    I've been Money Tipped!
    Dear Matt

I am still waiting for the Co-op car insurance cashback of £63 since February. Your email above offering to help was over one month ago, yet the cashback is still showing as pending. I am very unhappy about this extremely long delay. How can this be resolved promptly?
What you see on media sites is merely 'hype'.
Statements like 'I will try my best' and 'we are working hard' blah, blah, blah.
They are very unlikely to admit they have failed you! That's not what they want readers to see!
Tickets normally ask you to wait yet another 4 - 6 week, which is basically a delay tactic.

You can take court action against someone if they owe you money and won’t pay you back.

It's been done many times and one consumer action group helped someone over 4 years ago!
TCB were 'at it' then and looks like nothing has changed, apart from perhaps getting worse!
Facts are facts and not media hype!

No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.

Have you not had your 'deadlock' letter yet?
They do have 8 weeks, from initial complaint though.

Co-Operative Bank responded to initial complaint by quoting and sending a screen shot of T+C relating to its 150.00 switch offer that was not available via TCB and started two weeks after my 125.00 tracked transaction date.

Thank you for your advice. I have used topcashback successfully for many years. I hope that my missing cashback for the coop insurance will be paid, as I would prefer not to resort to further action unless there is no other solution.

Just to recap though, the £150 switch was valid at the time of the cashback promotion from TCB?
One of the problems with the TCB financial promotions is, they don't make the t&c's clear and that's vital. They use worlds like 'may not' etc, which greatly helps the consumer as it's a grey area. Absolute clarity is needed, although TCB seem to believe they can ignore the FCA and FOS advise.
Bits and pieces are now starting to be added to the notes for promotional cashback offers, but still not clear and offers no advice on how to escalate a complaint.
    That will change.
One grey area I've actually asked for clarity over the weekend via a ticket, but I could have just gone ahead with the purchase, took screenshots and took action if refused. Nothing in the t&c's indicated the purchase would be declined.

This is the screen shot that Co-operative Bank sent and used to turn down my complaint about non payment of TCB cashback citing that I failed these T+C - click on read more -

Note the words " in addition to the cashback offer from TopCashback"

This offer was/still is available only via Cooperative Bank directly hence the words " in addition to" it started two weeks after my TCB transaction for 126.25 including 1% topup

You're laughing your nuts off then. Easy enough for the FOS.
For the records, how long have TCB been 'working hard' trying to resolve this issue?

"Missing Cashback" claim was submitted 28th September - finally despatched by TCB last week - I always thought "Missing Cashback claims" were relevant to non tracking transactions hence the requirement for email address used/date account was opened etc - what do I know :):rotfl:

Other cashback sites I am pretty sure have a mechanism for submitting a claim appealing to merchant against rejected/rejection.

    Hello everyone,
    Hope you’re all well!

@jasonwatkins – No problems at all, I am happy I could help you out!

@BristolLeedsFan – While, the information you have provided is not accurate in regards to personal information about our Staff Members I do believe MSE detail guidelines regarding personal information about anyone.

@Bougainvillea - I am sorry to hear this merchant hasn’t progress the commission payment so we haven’t been able to progress your cashback. As you have likely noticed, the Co-Op Car Insurance cashback programme has ended. This does mean the network don’t have as close a relationship with the merchant than they once did. However, they and we will be aware that transactions are outstanding. We have a dedicated team who ensure the network are chasing up un progressed cashback in order to ensure payment speed is as efficient as possible.

With a network working with a lot of merchants, it’s not feasible for them to resolve everything at the same time but as soon as progress has been made and TopCashback have had information about your transaction we’ll be sure to update the transaction for you. While we are unable to progress transactions we haven’t been paid for yet, I can assure you it will be resolved as promptly as possible.

@B_M – When you click through from any online site you get an electronic trace. As you’ll often see me describe, these are cookies. Therefore, it’s important to clear then, if you don’t you can have many traces to the purchase you made and this is when the commission gets credited to someone else or even shared between different sources.

When you lodge a claim, you agree to the information we have provided about the Claims process. This explains timeframes. If TopCashback has not been responded to with your query, we’re not able to provide you with a final outcome.

    I hope this helps everyone.

    Best wishes,
    Matt
