    I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks Samantha, all completed and 10% birthday promotion added.
I'm the first to complain when things go wrong or are wrongly promoted, but credit here for a 5 star performance *****. A rapid response and resolution which couldn't have been bettered once the issue had been identified.
I think the 'guarantee' threw things a bit and understandable.
No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.

  • Got an email from MSE's Cheap Energy Club stating that they had been advised that the switching of suppliers was complete and that the cash back had been paid. Although I expected cash back, I have had no indication in my account that the cash back was forthcoming. Does that email mean that I will be getting the cash?

I lodge a cashback claim on 20th February 2014 after purchasing my a PS4 and game from Gamestop, despite quite a few nudges it is still awaiting merchant, is it normal for a claim to take this long! This company would not have been my first choice to order from but I was swayed by the cashback, not realising that nearly a year later I would still be waiting for it.
Normally things work quite quickly and easily but in the last week I have had to lodge another two cashback claims that have not tracked in my account, the total of these three claims come to just under £30

    Hi there,

@abandonded, it is great to hear that you have now received the cashback as expected, do let me know though if you ever have any further questions at all :)

@no.1swimmum, we would usually expect a resolution in around 12 weeks from when this is submitted and I do apologise that it has so far taken a year. Could you email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk? I would be more than happy to look into this for you!

    Best wishes,

My sister has tried various times to complete her application to receive Sky+ through Topcashback but gets so far through and is told that she needs to phone Sky. If she does that she will then lose her TCB amount. She did phone Sky after receiving that message the first time and the assistant wanted to complete it on the phone which my sister didn't want to do as she wanted to receive her TCB money as Sky offered. It was a substantial amount so I understand this.

I also encountered this last year with a phone I was getting through T-Mobile (EE) and because I could not complete it online through TCB as they wanted a phone call, I then had to change companies and got TCB money through Vodafone.

Is this something some companies do to cheat people out of the money as some people may not realise they do not then receive their TCB money after phoning to complete the transaction? If this is the case, they should not be allowed to gain customers through TCB.

    Hi ailey,

In the majority of cases, transactions do need to be completed wholly online for the member to then be eligible for the cashback, has Sky been able to explain to your sister why they are not able to complete this online at all and whether this is for verification purposes?

Sometimes, if certain checks need to be made so that a transaction can then be completed, a merchant may phone, but by explaining on the phone that you would like to complete the transaction online in order to receive cashback on this, they may be able to go through how to do this.

I hope that this is of some help and I hope that your sister is able to proceed with her transaction after finding out some further information from Sky, but you can always get in touch either on here or via a support ticket, if you have any further questions at all.

    Best wishes,
    Samantha

I have never had any issues with cashback tracking but this past week has been really bad.

Today i bought a new iPhone through Carphone Warehouse who were offering £73.50 cashback on iPhone 6 & 6 Plus purchases. This tracked but at £26.50, the rate for new standard contracts, not the rate advertised for an iPhone 6 contract.

I have completed other offers in the meantime which have all tracked okay. There have been others from surveys that haven't tracked but haven't really been chasing up smaller amounts, but this one is around £50 short.

They were really good :rotfl::rotfl:when they started but now TCB are blaming the equivalent shops for not responding. I have actually RUNG the companies concerned as I am sick of 3 outstanding cases (all I might add for quite a bit more money than the usual 99p or £1.50 interestingly) , one case of which is April 2014, and every company has said that this is ALL due to what the TCB company chose to pay and it is their decision, - the selling company has little to do with this. So... yet again, it's back to TCB who swear it is all the company who sold the goods not paying up. TCB - you should be ASHAMED:mad: of these practices. There are other sites who are warning people not to use you for the same reason. I am owed £44.07 which you are refusing to pay out on . You used to offer a compensation payment but I do not even see this now. Either pay up as promised or STOP RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS as it is. Your reputation is in tatters and will close you down soon at this rate anyway
