I know someone who swears she never felt her baby kick at all, other than once in labour.
I didn't with my 4th. I had heart tracings every other day and fortnightly scans and they said she was always asleep but she never moved while scanning they actually thought she was unable to move but couldnt see a reason.. she was born at 34 weeks and is now nearly 16 and she still sleep all the time!!
and my last one shifted position once or twice a day but rarely kicked.. she has made up for it she is an unholy terror.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I had very little in the way of movement this last pregnancy (unlike Madam Kung-Fu Fighter who spent the entire 7 or so months she was in there using my uterus as a punch bag) - just the odd squirm but no real kicks at all.
Funnily the wriggler inside is the calmest baby in the world outside and vice versa!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
There was a young-ish girl where I used to work, maybe 19 or so, and she couldn't have been any bigger than a size 8-10. She disappeared off work one week for a good six months. When she came back, she said that she had been terribly sick, gone to the Doctors and found out she was almost 8 months pregnant. Apparently it was some sort of uncommon condition where the foetus develops in such a way as to not 'show'. Needless to say, it was quite a heavy weight for her as she had just recently split up with BF at the time and was having to move flat!0

I knew a lady who didn't know until she gave birth. But she was a pretty big lady who carried all her weight in her tummy usually. She had also had another baby just before she fell pregnant with the surprise baby - so she hadn't had time to get her "figure" back and felt her lack of periods was normal after the previous baby.0

I'm size 8 and didn't know, normal periods, no symptoms, no feeling of kicking. Confirmed at 34 weeks because of an emergency scan for a bloated tummy. My daughter had spina bifida and there was excess amniotic fluid around her. The excess fluid is common when babies have SB and together with her inability to move her legs meant I really didn't know. I had her at 39 weeks but unfortunately she only lived a few days because she had other more serious problems.
Sorry to hear that aebxxx
I tested at 5 weeks because my clothes didn't fit.. irrregular periods etc.. but I knew.
My friend has 4 children, she is 5ft nothing and about 7 stone fully dressed and you honestly could not tell she was pregnant with any of her children.. the biggest was 6lb 6 and I have no idea where she grew him... there was me the size of a battleship and her swanning about in her size 8's...
BTW pigpen l think l read you were pregnant again? congratulations!

It's not just the kicking though, they wriggle around inside so l do find it strange some people don't feel anything, that said l can only speak from my experience.

I find it goes the other way - I have often felt that butterfly feeling when I am definitely not pregnant. It really feels like baby kicks.....scary panic mode :rotfl:0 -
A colleague of mine found out she was 7 1/2 months pregnant after she/her mum saw her belly move - she was 18 at the time and her daughter's now a teenager!Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0

I didn't know I was pregnant with my first until I was almost 6 months gone. I was on the pill and it was only when I didn't have a "period" one month when I was on my week break from taking the pill that I did a test to put my mind at ease......it didn't lol Went to the docs who sent me for a dating scan expected to be just a few weeks pg, the person who did the scan kept muttering "this isn't right" so when they told me I was almost 6 months pg I was relieved rather than shocked because I thought they meant there was something wrong with the baby at first.
It took about a week to sink in that in just a few months I was going to be a mum lol I genuinely had no idea I was pregnant.
But my sister beats even that, with her youngest she only found out 7 weeks before she was born, again she had NO idea she was expecting before she went off coffee one day, she was on the implant so never in her wildest dreams thought she could be, she only took the test to shut her OH up because he was teasing her that she could be pregnant again. It looks like we have a history of ninja babies in our family lol0 -
Agree 100% !! :rotfl:
Blimey... I'm pleased to have had nine months to prep And planmy mum found out at nearly 6m as she was under the weather and couldn't get past it.
I too knew I was pregnant at 4wjs but now at 16+6 I'm not showing, in most of my clothes and merely look a bit porky.
There was a story years ago about a lady from Leek who walked up Kilimanjaro, returned home and gave birth the next day. Scary! If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0
