    I am simply overwhelmed

By complete chance I logged into an old email address I had, it was the email address that I used on the MSE site, when I logged in there were notifications of postings on this thread, I though surly not, its been 5 years ago, then I looked at the date, 2012 ! I could not believe it. I quickly logged in, having forgotten my password and needing to reset it !!

Touched, I simply cannot believe that so many people read this our story and were touched by it.

Looking back has brought back all those memories, I remember the despair and fear on the first posting, feeling not sure of how to tackle our debt, we could not talk to anyone, and the joy of peoples goodwill and help on this forum, truly amazing.

Just briefly, we are still in Hong Kong, I am still flying the Airbus !

A previous poster asked about our mortgage, we managed to pay that off in full last year, it has made a hugh difference to us.

Without the MSE website we would still have been a mess, so thank you to everyone.

    SNOWBALL SNOWBALL SNOWBALL !!

Since 2007 there are now snowball apps for your smartphones !!

Totally blown away by everyones kind comments.

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS

Wow, have just read your posts from start to finish and ended up with tears in my eyes. Just look at how far you have come in 5 years, truly inspirational.

At the moment my DFD is 2024 but I'm working on bringing it closer. Let's hope that in years to come my journey helps others the way yours clearly has.

Wishing you all the very best Mr, Mrs and little Tolip

This is such an inspiring story I thought I'd bump it back up to motivate some of the newbies just starting out on the road we're all travelling

Well said Granny - another bump is required I think!

What's even better is that as of last update it's still going strong - attitude changed for life :D
  • This is so inspiring! I'm also obsessed with the snowball calc, it was a real eyeopener for me.

Thanks for bumping jennikitten, hadn't come across this thread before.

Great story, from such a high level of debt, to debt-free via a positive attitude (and a good salary!) :)
