I think this just goes to show that stopping luxuries and reducing spending each month really does and can help!
Many people think it is `terrible` to be advised to stop this and reduce that BUT it is the only way!
To be debtfree you have to work hard, not just in employment.....

At work and welling up! Just finished reading from start to finish. What an inspirational story. It truly goes to show debt busting can be done and will be done by each and everyone of us who are DFW's. Good luck all and if I can take anything from this story is have faith in your own end goal :beer: to Mr and Mrs T for 100% giving me even more drive and determination to beat this noose.

Just read this whole post and what an amazing result and journey to become debt free! I'm nearly in tears, with goosebumps, its all the heart felt support on here, plus a great story with a happy debt free ending!

Congratulations - that's a huge amount of debt to have paid off - even with a large salary.
You need to go and add yourself to the debt free roll of honour:

You also seem to have convinced a lot of people to check out the snowball calculator. I've never tried it myself either - perhaps it's time I had a look at it.
