Should fatties pay more to fly?

Let's face it. Some people seem to need to identify a group to attack and belittle in an effort to cover up their own inadequacies. 40 years ago it may have been black people, 20 years ago homosexuals. It all comes from the same dark place.

The big difference is say people can't choose skin colour, people do choose to be fat, they make themselves fat and they can also loose weight themselves.

Unfortunately my weight increased when I got ill, so this results in no small amount of self loathing. When I controlled it what she described as the 'no fat people in concentration camps'm diet I damaged myself further. My doctor at the time gave me a really good thing to read I wish I still had about how while the end was still emancipation weight loss was probably not even for all, that people with various 'efficiencies' probably survived longer and better before ending up equally emaciated. I always wish I had a copy of it, because it was very well written and sensible.

Among other interesting things is that is (statistically) 'healthier' for a woman to be slightly overweight than slightly underweight. I think the opposite might be true for men, but I might well have misremembered that.

Fwiw, I would support a fly at total weight costing, (person and baggage) and wish you could buy a while trio of seats on a flight so you didn't have to get stuck to very many of the people I have had to fly next to, (of various shapes and sizes) over the years. (Noisy people, disgusting eaters, the crass and the uncouth...of if only private flight were affordable!) I also have been guilty of trying perfume at duty free before boarding a plane then feeling guilty that I am probably aggravating the person next to me with the powerful smell of newly squirted perfume.

So what? I'm not saying being fat is a good thing. Just pointing out that inadequate people have always found the need to identify a social grouping and then band together to attack them.

Personally, I can't see why anyone would be so perturbed by the sight of a fat person.

I guess if the internet was big 40 years ago, there would be plenty of people making similar crass comments about black people.

I'm really glad my brain isn't wired that way. I suppose I shouldn't be too harsh, we probably can't do much to change the way the bag of chemicals in our heads work.

Nothing wrong with fat girl loving. They make the rock in' world go round! (According to freddie). I can confess I have a soft spot for the more rubust specimen, pretty face is optional.
