Should fatties pay more to fly?

for every extra 30 kgs, a typical airliner will burn about 1 kg extra of aviation fuel PER HOUR.
So, some disgusting fat body weighing in at 110 Kgs over an 8 hour flight will cost the airline around 8-9 quid more in aviation fuel than it otherwise would have done (compared to someone weighing 70kgs). And lets not forget we are all having to pay extra for the extra seat width regulatory requirements coming in because of mr and mrs american bubble butt like one too many cream pies.
Wow - useful information.
Which begs a question, can anyone explain why excess baggage cost about a tenner per kilo? clearly it is not the fuel cost so it must be the ground hadling as surely it is not just the airlines profiteering...I think....0 -
I do like the bit about needing a second (or third) seat, if you need 3 seats would you fit through the door/hatch?Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

should male gay couples pay more than lesbian ones because generally, the male couple will weigh more than the female couple.
I think the only way it is not discriminatory is if each individual is weighed and charged a specific rate - that means the airline makes "x" profit no matter what per flight - and not a higher profit if it only takes fat people, or excludes fat people.0 -
No fatties and no children airline. Could do pretty well I believe.
I provide a free service for my fellow passengers because, in defiance of the laws of averages, the seat next to me is usually where they put the morbidly obese. If they're morbidly obese and have a screaming baby it's even more likely.
If I get on a flight and spot a thin person in the seat next to mine that's usually a good indicator that they have BO and fart issues0 -
It does slightly irritate me that me and my partner are both very healthy and slim and have to be really careful with our luggage, yet other passengers who weigh much much more than us pay the same when we get charged when our baggage is over.
Not sure if they could enforce this though...0 -

Makes sense, as far as weighing people is concerned, just weigh them with bags, just a big plate on the checkin. have a simple adjustment button for if they are using a trolley and charge based on the results.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Given a choice between sitting next to a fat person or an intolerant nutter, I would much prefer to shuffle up a bit.0
