    Morning all

Cats somehow escaped from the kitchen at 6 am and woke me up. On my third cuppa

Bossy I have had one bun for breakfast but that is it.

Lots planned for today, the sun is shining and every body is keen so to the shower for me.

  • Hi Bossy and Dusty - I'm up early too! Dusty, after being woken at 5am yesterday my little darlings lasted until 6.30 today, so we were all breakfasted, including a robin leading a foray of early birds, by 7am!

I was in the shower at 7.30 and have had a nice chill out with magazines since then - it's very cold outside, but the sun is pouring into this bedroom and I'm on my second cuppa.

We are tidy and clean here, just a bit of washing to do, and I cleaned the bathroom after my shower, so a lazy day ahead. I may visit a sick friend if she is well enough - sounds daft but she's possibly infectious and I certainly don't want any more bugs! I'll pass goodies to her through an open window if needs be!!

I've now got the pleasant task of finalising and booking a sorting holiday (online) so will get in with that. Good vibes and good flying to all, and I hope you get this sunshine and time to relax. Bossy, I hope your little ones enjoy their day, and Dusty, give the cats a tickle from me. Mine are sparked out already in the sun! R x

Expected some whip cracking from Flylady HQ today. Mind you, my RoD could do with a few HHs so that sounds like my plan.

One chocolate and orange hot cross bun for breakfast ....... not sure that's quite right.

    Morning all

WM has been on 3 times; ran two lots through TD but as it's bright, warm(ish) and sunny here I have bedding blowing ion the line.

I am about to flick all the keys off the keyboard and wash them in the sink and clean under them, so this may well be the last lucid post from me :rotfl:

See you when I come back!

Have a good weekend and a Happy Easter

    DS3's wardrobe sorted
    Wash 1&2 on the line
    Wash 3 in progress
DS3's room all hoovered-DS2 is putting the desk together and then we have all the stuff we have moved out of DS3's room into DS1's room to sort (he'll not be best pleased when he gets in from work)

    DH has fixed the guttering

    Birds fed

All in all not a bad start but I am flagging now and at that stage where we have created a whole load more mess than there was this morning

One double cupboard sorted, we had 32 mugs so these have been thinned down.
One cutlery drawer sorted as the medicine spoons and shringes had been multiplying whilst the tea spoons are an endangered species.

Off to the cinema with DH & DS2 back later x

Only 32, for your whole family? I think my DH had at least that number just for himself when we first got together! I brought about 20 with me... We now have about 36 between us, but still on 2 separate shelves. I don't like drinking out of his thick railway mugs, and he doesn't like drinking out of my flowery china mugs :rotfl: My aim is to get the total down to about 24 before we move.

The house selling vibes worked very well yesterday - thanks to all you Flyladies, we received an offer at the level we were hoping for. :j

This morning we have celebrated by not doing any flying at all :T

Instead we have been making hot cross buns to Paul Hollywood's recipe and a simnel cake as demonstrated by Mary Berry on the Great British Bake Off Easter Master Class. It's the first time DH has ever made dough, and it took him a while to get the hang of the "pull - fold - turn" sequence of kneading, but I expect the results will be OK: certainly the dough is rising nicely as I type. And he chopped the cherries and rolled out the marzipan for the cake :A I then promptly forgot to add the cherries to the mixture and had to scrape everything out of the tin to add them before spooning it all back :p Doubtless it will still taste good. We both enjoyed scraping the bowl and licking the beaters, big kids that we are :D

Back to shape the buns before lunch...

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
