    Shopping done

Got DS2's cake half price as the corner was bashed a little, I'll fix that. He wanted a shop cake for a change as we have homemade all the time. I'll still be making a cake for family for the day.

Bought my first Christmas present :rotfl: couldn't resit, half price thick socks with 25% off so £2.75 for a pack of 3 (x2) for DS1.

Still need to get Easter gifts for Mother and FiL, much more difficult when one doesn't like Chocolate and the other is diabetic. Ideas?

Going to feed the birds, tidy the kitchen and then DS3 will be home.

Need to shout at DS1 to shoo him off to work.

Dusty I was going to suggest a plant arrangement but perhaps new hat, scarf & gloves may be more suitable.

Off to do another cupboard, so many to choose from which will it be?

Another cupboard done. It was the corner cod. I think I need something to help with its shape. Kitchen designer said live with new kitchen abit then come back for carousel or similar but company went bust.

Next thing is to feed the family

Electrics to cooker are dodgy and both oven and hob lost all power. We have a British Gas Homecare agreement that covers electrics - 365 day a year cover...

But apparently they can't fit us in until Wednesday!

    I am SO not impressed!

Mary's gone for her "holiday within a holiday"; I should've been at the optician's this afternoon, but the car's poorly, so optician cancelled, and Mr LW's taken the car to the motor-horse-piddle instead. I have therefore done the Dys0n Tango, and also blitzed the loo (which wasn't flushing correctly:eek:) to within an inch of its white porcelain life.;)

When I was asked to have Mary this time, it was pointed out to me that it's a long time to have such a high maintenance dog to look after, and they'd quite understand if I said No. Had I had my wits about me, I suppose I could have replied with:
"It's a long stay / For little Mary....."
I'm sure you can work out the tune....... :DI'll get my coat.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Lamewolf - I'm wondering if our particular thought processess regarding cleaning are our pets fault ;)

I have three hounds and one of them is a rescue dog, she had been very badly treat, and even though she is a really happy and relaxed girl now, she has never got the hang totally of going outside for wees and poos (especially when its cold) I spend a small fortune on specialist canine disinfectant
  • Welcome to the newbies - the more the merrier - just attempt what you can and don't think you have to do it all at once - the list comes around again next week.

Bossy - simple, creative and oh so beautiful - I'm very impressed with anything like this as I don't have a "crafty" bone in my body.

LameWolf -nice little ditty going around in my head now - gee thanks :D

Absolutely shattered after 2 nights of not sleeping properly.

Today I have stripped, turned mattresses and remade a S/K, a KS, a Dbl and a Sgl bed, cleaned 4 bathrooms, hoovered through and mopped 2 kitchen floors. I'm home now! and can't be bothered doing any of my own. OH has just asked me if I fancy going out for a drink tonight. It's lovely and sunny here, so I think we'll all head out to the coast to give the dog a blast and pop into a pub on the way back.

Dealt with a couple of phone calls since I came in - only 1 more to do (frog). As soon as they're out of the way I can relax a bit - not sure if my car insurance has been renewed on 24th March  - but I think this is contributing to my not sleeping properly.

    Enjoy your evening everyone.
