September and we are pretending it isn't happening because the house is destroyed... It is referred to as String bean a fair bit though so that might stick. The fact I cut my tummy trying to squeeze through a gap I thought I would fit through is irrelevant lol.

1st coat of emulsion done.... number 2 is to be done in a bit.. I want to get the last coat done in the morning so we can make a start on the patterned paper tomorrow afternoon. I have stuck 4 of the bits back on in the loo so only a few more to do.. it is like a jigsaw!! 110 year old wallpaper one of the little beasts tore chunks off... gggrrrrrr.... a bit of paste, filler and paint and noone will ever know! (I am such a geek lol)

  • Oh pigpen muchos congratulationos!! For your String Bean and for being an Auntie and a new cousin once-removed-type-person - my DS used to suck his fingers like that! Awww I'm 46 next week and I'm still broody... no OH tho so fat chance :rotfl:

Flywise I've done lots. Including b*llocking the kids for not being clean and tidy and threatening to channel my inner kazw and leave it all to the fairies.

Thanks froddington re the London meet - I hope natty and wendywitch can join us???

  • Congrats Pigpen Are we going to be seeing you on that Channel 4 programme soon? :p I did wonder a few months ago when you said you were late.

Thanks for the posi-vibes for DH. The job sounds good, and the money is good. Downside is that it is nearly 70 miles away  (not far from Mumto5 I think), and no direct train links. If he gets it we will have to buy a cheap car, as I need mine for work. The agency have asked him to add a bit more detail to his CV & then they will put in an application, so please keep the posi-vibes coming! If (and when) he gets a job we are going to still try & live off of my money, and use his to pay his debts.

Flying wise, the LR has been tidied & hoovered. Dinners cooked, only one entire dinner thrown away  , although one of the other children asked for seconds! Veggies thrown away - so chocolate mousse/jelly withheld (I am so mean!! :p)

Tomorrow I have a short day, so the plan is Easter Egg Hunt (weather permitting - if Miss T turns up in unsuitable clothing we will go to the usual toddler group instead), early school pick up, deep clean downstairs toilet (after all little boys have gone home ) and maybe tackle some paperwork. Usual dailies will also be done :)

I am off to bed now. Night night all :)

    Congratulations pigpen

Maybe I'll join you London meeters next time, I've got visitors over Easter then may be working next week depending on weather. College with the students off on holiday is quite pleasant!!

House pretty ok for visitors. OH whizzed round with vacuum and duster while I sorted out dinner for tonight, made tomorrow's shepherd's pie as we're a bit tight for time - I pick Mum up from her bus at 4pm and we've tickets for the cinema at 7.15. Have put lentil mix in to soak for soup for other lunches.

Grr, finally finished photo albums of the holiday I had with mum last year, sent off in time to get offer of 2 for the price of one. They arrived on Monday, opened one and was pleased with it. Planned to leave mum's on the bed ready for when she arrives. Some instinct made me just open it and check - aaaaggghhhh they have put my photos but someone else's front cover on............got onto the web site and found a "live chat" person, but that was in the US so I had to email the UK printer. I can give mum mine, but it's a tad disappointing. The web site says they will pay for postage if I send it back, not that anyone will want pictures of a Baltic cruise with the front cover of India 2008 & 2012!!!

Snow almost melted here, the cold wind has dropped although we had a few flakes this afternoon. I don't think getting the open topped boat from Embankment to Greenwich as planned for Saturday is going to happen somehow.

I have been having 11+ week cycles anyway.. and I wouldn't degrade myself by exploiting my family in such a manner I think those families are totally repugnant. They have no idea what misery it causes the children, the ridicule and bullying they get at school because their parents choose to show them up as freaks on tv..
