    Good evening all :D

Decided to stop lurking this week and grab the list. Between work, being ill, and helping DD out with shopping/homework I haven't managed much cleaning at all and the place needs it. So, as well as tackling a mountain of washing, trying to make sure I've planned for everything DD needs to go away with, I'm trying to get the house clean and making slow but steady progress. Spring cleaning is definitely needed but that can wait until after school is back.

Anyways, DD is upstairs supposedly dusting the bedrooms...and has been for an hour  I best go investigate I think after I've swapped this washing over. Only 5 more to go through the machine and I have no idea how many still to go through the drier

    Monday - Kitchen
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe the sufaces
Polish any granite, stainless steel etc
    Hoover and mop the floor
    Level Three
The larder/food cupboards, empty it all out, add to your meal plan, write a shopping list of basics you may run out of over Easter. Wipe out the cupboards and replace after wiping sticky jars and binning/donating stuff which has been in there forever which you really will never use - share your most bizarre find - pictures welcome
    Extras
    HHI

Tuesday - Bathrooms, Hall, Stairs and Landings
    Level Two
    Clean toilets, sinks and baths/showers
    Wipe all dusty surfaces/paintwork
    Hoover and mop the floor
    Extras
HHMe time with a product or two from the bathroom
Replace any sponges, soap, toothbrushes etc which are not pleasant to use
    - That reminds me, we need new toothbrushes! :o

    Wednesday - Living Room
    Level Two
    Hoover the floors
    Dust
    Replace sofa throws/covers

    Thursday - bedrooms
    Level One
    HH tidying/putting away
    Level Two
    Hoover the floors
    Change the beds
    Level Three
    Sort through one drawer
    Wipe the window ledges
Clean the bedstead and see what has got lost behind it

    Off to juggle washing...

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    *flops in chair*

    2 binbags of rubbish
6 boxes removed to girls room
2 boxes of stuff off the floor picked up
    3 beds made
    Wm x2
DW on for 3rd time today
    Td on
Babies bathed and ready for bed
    2 pictures hung up.

I am fair fluffed and tomorrow I have about 40 hours of stuff to work through before dinner.. *cry*

Would it be unacceptable to put up in the girls room a pic of me, KH and the 8 children? Would it be very rude to OH? I know the girls would love it and it will be behind the door so when we (OH and I) go in we wouldn't be able to see it. I do like the pic, it is one of 2 I have with us all on but I don't want to look at KH.. so.. would it be fair? OH says he doesn't mind either way he is their dad and blah blah... I just feel a bit odd about it.

Mended toilet flush that "just came off in DD's hand", trip to the tip with mega load of cardboard, cleaned out the fire and re lit it and washed the skanky dog bedding. Just going to bung it in the TD.

well mt kitchen looks like a cyclone went off in there, I cook roast beef for 5 and after I'd put the beef in and done the veg I fell asleep on the sofa (eek) so we had to have mash instead of roast spuds but the rest of it was delicious. Taking DD to work at 7.30,

little sis just rang dad in hospital 100 miles away with chest pain, not sure what to do....don't want to go haring over there if I'm not needed as it'd take me a while to get there...

I've not done any flying since Tuesday :o I was so tired on Wednesday because I had been so busy at the paid stuff before leaving there for a new job I start next week, and then yesterday I went out for a leaving meal after a full day at work. Today I went shopping for stuff to wear to my friend's wedding next week and got lots of lush new skincare products. Then I have lazed about all day dreaming about buying a house :D

    pigpen congrats :)
Goodintentions good luck for your DH job
ionafan congrats on getting the house offer. And those hot cross buns looks very yummy!
boddy I hope your DD's eye is ok

I am so pooped tonight even though I've not done much at all (apart from a few hours wandering shops). I will wash the dishes and have a quick tidy round tonight before bed. Tomorrow I have a busy day visiting family but I will do a food shop first. At some point this weekend I need to do some basics of hoovering round and emptying bins.

I have men booked for April 8 to fit new windows. I have lots to do before then but can't seem to get going. :o Lounge/kitchen/landing/bathroom and cloakroom okay - they have easy access to windows. However the four bedrooms!!
Then the next week - more workmen for plumbing - help! :( Need the loft sorted for access + garage to get at boiler and pipes..

Ok, focus on on bedroom a day, and only do what you need to. A bit (or a lot!) of dust won't be noticed by the window fitters or plumbers. Focus on clearing space and general tidying. Aim to do it in HHC bursts, and then reward yourself after each HHC with a cuppa and something relaxing for 15 mins or so before you continue the chosen room that day. Hope you're able to get going - good luck!

msgnomey hope your dad is ok

Pigpen I'd ask your DDs if they wanted the picture up, if they do then I'd put it on the back of the door as you've said. My parents are divorced (have been since I was 6) and my late OH had 2 children so I've been both sides IYSWIM - I didn't mind seeing pictures of OH with his ex-partner & kids because it made my step kids happy.

My step-dad on the other hand didn't like me to have pictures of my dad and mum together, but I love them both and I knew and understood that their relationship was in the past and it was nice for me to see them happy together so I knew they'd been happy together at some point.

Sorry I seemed to have waffled.

    Evening,

Ionafan, congrats on the house offer, and the hx buns do look ah-may-zing!

We went on the Easter egg trail, well layered up which was much needed, but the kiddies all had a ball, everyone won an egg, and we had a short stop in the cafe. Just realised now, we never went in the gift shop (but no-one mentioned it) but DS seemed quite happy with his sausage sandwich and chocolate egg :D the boys were clearly outnumbered by girls but certainly didn't stop them taking charge in the snowball fight :D and both my littlies were nodding in the car on the way home.

This aft I've not done a lot, just made them tea and had a little tidy around, then been having cuddles. I've just set up another egg hunt indoors for the morning, as the kiddies are going to inlaws tomorrow. The children she used to mind are having a sleepover at hers and have asked for my two to go as well, so we're pretending its Sunday tomorrow.

I might take the hunt props up in case they want to reuse them.

I won't be out of bed long all that fresh air has wiped me out. No wii fit or just dance for me tonight... I'm ready to drop!
