Morning all,
Beautiful bright sunny morning here but also very cold; at least it's not grey
Going to visit my lovely inlaws this afternoon but no plans for this morning.... I think I'll make a pot of coffee and have a potter around getting the dailies done and maybe do some baking too; would be nice to take a cake to have at inlaws later...
Peace and contentment to everyone, Cake x0 -
Morning all,
Very tired as was at the o2 last night seeing O11y Murs with DD1. We had seats 6 rows from the front so a very good time was had.
Busy day today with birthday partiy drop off and collections.
Taxi duties for DD1 to get to the hotel where she is getting ready for bridesmaid duties at.
Nip into work to do my ladys hair
Accompany DS2 to charity bag packing at Te5co
Take DS2 to get new football boots at Discount retail park
My mother has blown us out for lunch tomorrow. She has a bad cold and as DH has an ear op on Wednesday he needs to stay away from germs. This makes life much easier.
I need to have a shower and get moving! I hope everyone has a good day.0 -

I suppose it's the comfort of knowing that it's there and if a problem arose, he could sort it out. Which he couldn't do when he was a child.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

tBH I would just get rid of it and tell him I was doing it.. same as I did OH.. He apparently has all his uni work from 15 years ago!!! Get it in the bin!!! His mother asked him to sort it I said why have you even mentioned it to him just bin it!
switch him to paperless billing for bank stuff.. no more paper and shred what you have.. He is being a bit ridiculous.. Keeping the first wage slip is one thing but the rest need to go..

DD2 and friend set to loading the dishwasher.. and she has been instructed to enquire about a Saturday job over the holidays which is advertised in the cafe round the corner.. I am not a bank and if she wants money over the holidays she can work for it... it is only 5 hours so won't kill her.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning all
Frost was hard last night but it's bright and sunny now and I am going to start (finally!) painting the kitchen. I am wearing my decorating shorts and t shirt - and (at the moment) a fleece!
Am cross with DS; he left pots in his room; the 'kitten' was investigating and knocked a glass and a mug onto the floor - they smashed and the mug had tea in (grr). The kitten didn't do what cats normally do, and scarper - she perched on the edge of the bed and surveyed the damage!

For goodness sake!!!! I asked Dd2 to do the DW 2 hours ago.. she turns up washed and dressed and 'can I go out?'.. Have you done the DW? no... so she unloads the clean stuff then I heard scrabbling on the front door key.. has she loaded the DW?... no... get yourself in that kitchen!!! I swear she is lazier than I am.. why do they think they can get away with it?
Dot emptying toy boxes all over the floor!
Can I tempt anyone to a HHc (though I may be hours) so I can get through some more of this bedroom.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

My ironing basket is empty :j I decided I was getting it done yesterday so that I could spend the rest of the long weekend doing my cross stitch or something else that I'd enjoy.

Spare room bed has had clean bedding put on and bed made
Vallihope decorating goes well, - your kitten sounds like mine, she'd inspect it too with a bemused look on her face.
Am excited/nervous I've passed stage 1 of the application process to get back to my dream job and have cognitive testing a week on Monday  I've passed it before, I hope I've not lost too much of my mind in the 7 years since I last did them!
Have a great Saturday all

Afternoon all.
Managed a lie in this morning again.House still looks like a laundrette but the piles are going down slowly. I've washed all the cleaning cloths, the rug from the kitchen, DD's PE bag and the sofa cover so now got the washing machine on a clean cycle before I start washing bedding. Spent the morning decluttering programmes from the box while I caught up with computer stuff
Now I'm about to drag the vacuum round downstairs while DD is having a bath. I'll do the ironing later while I watch Charmed.

Good afternoonDustykitten wrote: »postage going up/parcels a lot!
Beware if you are ebaying as it starts this week
Here is a link to the complicated new rules but basically only small parcels less than 8cm deep or a cube of 16cm can go at the lower rate, anything over and the rate is over £5 even if it weighs less than a kilo:eek::mad:

Thanks Dusty. I was aware. Unfortunately, a buyer from last Friday still hasn't paid  I resent the invoice yesterday, with a note saying that postage is going up soon so it needed to be paid ASAP. Still not paid this morning, so if & when he pays I will be sending out 2nd class instead of 1st as otherwise I will not cover my costs. He also bought 3 other items on Sunday, and hasn't paid that either. I had noted on that invoice that I would send items seperately unless he requested otherwise (7" singles). I have bought special packaging for the records, so need to cover the cost of these!  All I am asking for is a little communication!!
Flying wise - DH has stripped & washed the bedding, and done other washing. I have been at my art clubI have had lunch, and we now need to go to town to get something for the kids for Easter (better late than never!!) I will then get some more [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] treasures on Ebay
Msgnomey - I hope you Dad is feeling better soon. At least he is home now. My step dad is starting his 4th week in hospital0
