Tempted to buy GoTab 6 inch Android 4.0 Tablet with Google Play and 4GB Storage

OK so go into the play store and search for chrome, Firefox or dolphin. I've used all 3 and are all OK.

Oh and yes you can get your emails on the tablet, again just use the play store.

Been there, done that and installed chrome. Googled yahoo mail. Entered email address then password umpteen times and each time it suggested the wrong email address/password was being used.

Now the battery has gone so it will be on charge for a while.

Coincidentally, the chrome icon wasn't in the playstore, so I googled for it.

Not had that issue with the Yahoo app.

So rather than google for yahoomail and log in as per windows, am I to understand that I should try and find an app for yahoo ?

I keep popping in and out as I have the SUNLOUNGER out in a sheltered spot as it's too windy for the promenade down here in Weymouth

Yes search the play store for yahoo, what you want is called yahoo mail.

Thankyou, that did it. So now it would seem I have to remember that any website that has been saved as a favorite in chrome and I wish to have it on my tablet, then I should search for it within the playstore first but if it's not there, ask for a link via google search. Once I have the icon on my home page, that is referred to as a widgit now ?

What I could not find however, is the facility to log out of email. Can you help with this please?.

Earlier today, whilst looking through the playstore, I found camera, so downloaded it. Once on, I held the tablet up, faced the screen and must have touched something as the photo was of my face, when I would have expected what the tablet was facing. I dumped the camera icon until this has been resolved. Maybe I should have been looking at the back of the tablet and hope that I was taking a photo of the subject, but how would I know?

The camera is just on the front, its not really for seriously taking photos as such. It really just there for video-calling people.

You can install an app like Skype, then if someone else with either a laptop or a tablet also has the Skype app on - you can talk to each other via your tablet and also see each others faces on live video. And without any phone charges as its going via the internet instead. Skype is free but you have to register a user account (also free) to find each other on it. It also depends on how good (fast) your internet connections are if either end is a bit slow the video/sound will be poor.

To add a website as a bookmark in chrome you should see a small star icon next to a small mic icon on the address bar, the star icon is what you use to save a website as a b/mark.


Not sure how you log out of the yahoo email app, haven't seen the option yet.

Re the camera, it depends which way it faces, if its on the front of the tablet eg same side as the tablet screen then its a front facing camera and if on the rear of the tablet then its a rear facing camera. Front facing cameras only useful for Skype/video call someone else with Skype.
