Hello everybody
I should have read the daily first. I thought it odd that I had a few PM's in email. I thought another mutiny had taken place.I'm still alive and kicking.
Just had some bad news back home that has pulled me down emotionally. A very good friend suddenly died and some heartbreaking family news. I just haven't been my cheery self.
On the bright side, DH & I are at the Orkneys which I LOVE. Here for another week yet. I must have a thing about islands. They really float my boat.Pardon the pun. The weather has been lovely and we are brown as berries from taking long cliff walks. Saw a few puffins today and seals the other day. Amazing.
I won't comment on everybody's news as it will take me ages but I have kept up with the daily's so ((((((hugs))))) to those that need them.
It's Mother's Day back home.Happy Mother's Day to me and to all the other Mother's. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Afternoon All
(((hugs))) to all especially PP & Aussie Lass.
Horrible nasty weather here, had poured or drizzled all day. Math my garden was like concrete last week but now is like a mud bath (clay soil). DS is most unhappy we wont let him play on the grass (generally just does sliding tackles)
Did get up early this morning before everyone and did 2 loads of washing, took a black bin bag around downstairs and managed to fill after 3 rooms. Tesco shop delivered and painter been round to give us a quote for the kitchen, dining room and cloakroom. Dont want to tempt fate but is should all be finished by Bank Holiday Monday - wahey!!
Builder was here late yesterday so ended up driving to KFC and getting a bargain bucket.
Today took kids swimming which has worn them out nicely. Also it means that DS is lovely and clean at the moment. (Does shower reg but generally has muddy knees that dont seem to clear)
Today will have the pork chops that we were meant to have yesterday. J Pots are in the oven as we speak.
Ironing board will probably be out in a min - not too much to do luckily then can settle down guilt free in front of Dalziel & Pascoe later.
Enjoy the last bit of the weekend.0 -

Hello everyone,
If no one minds, think I'll join in more on the OS threads... after having some unexpected bills come in and not much money left I'm trying to cut down a lot on food and trying to make everything last that bit longer! So here I am

Hi!
I've had quite a productive day here today. This morning we all went to church to our monthly Parade and Baptism service. I also echo MATH concerning the christian aid envelopes. I will also be delivering and collecting our envelopes this coming week.
Then after our bacon butties we went to B&Q (along with half of Liverpool) to buy our new wooden floor and bits and bobs for the hall. We managed to get everything for less than half of our budget. :j While we were there we had a look at the kitchens. We need to revamp our existing one which is around 14 years old. We can't justify getting a new one so we're going to replace the cupboard doors, drawer fronts, worktops and sink. We reckon we can do it all for around £600. So that's a big job for the summer holdays.
So my plans for this evening are to bath the kids, wash my hair and work out our finances so that we can pay for everything!
Have a good evening.0 -
