Good morning everybody ( only just :o )

I have been in agony all morning - must have slept in a funny position because my neck is killing me. I couldnt even sit up untill I had taken pain killers - it hurt too much to support my head. Still very stiff and am supposed to be cleaning the house today from top to bottom :(. So far I have managed ( very slowly ) to put some washing on the line and another load into the WM. Put the DW on and cleaned out the shower cubicle while I was having my shower this morning ( I find it easier to clean the shower while I am in it then it doesnt matter how wet I get :p ) nearly fainted though when I stood up too quickly :o
We have had breakfast and lunch is leek & potato soup with HM bread left over from yesterday. Im having a try at quorn cottage pie tonight with tinned tomato soup :p will be making some flapjack and shortbread at the same time to use up all of the oven space.
Right must get on with the cleaning

have a good day everybody and HUGGS to those who need them

ps one whole week tonight since I packed in smoking :T

    Afternoon all.

Crikey, it's taken me this long to get up, have breakfast, catch up on emails and various guestbooks, and finally make it to here.

Caught the end of Eurovision last night. Such a shame it's not about the songs. I watched the Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses and then Spendaholics on Sky before that, and turned in with a hot water bottle.

Today I'd like to do some baking. I've also got some mince out the freezer and want to make a chili con carne. If my friend (male, but attached) comes over, he'll help me cook it and eat half of it with me. If he doesn't, I'll eat one portion and freeze or chill the rest.

The weather's being a bit April Showers at the moment, so I don't want to risk any washing.

That's about it from here. Later. Have good days.

Vicky - thought of you when i saw that your boys had won on the news last night - bet you were really excited!!!!

I was so excited - though it's not quite the same shouting at a computer screen! This morning the Sunday Times has got some fab pictures in, so I can drool to my heart's content. :D

Edited to add: There are some even better pics here, if you want to drool with me. :D

Just put another book onto my Amazon seller's account. Fingers crossed that the books that I've put on there are the ones that people want!

  • Morning all

As you can see I have had to reregister! ExH decided to split the harddrive on Wednesday so I could run XP and Vista alongside each other and hopefully we could play games on this machine. Unfortunately he neglected to back up my password programme and so I can no longer log in here as moggins and I cannot get into my e-mail account to access a password reminder!

It's still going reasonably smoothly here, new grandson is doing well and is back out of his incubator, job is going pretty well too, I'm not being very OS at the moment though as life is so busy but I am trying to get back on track I promise!!

We were supposed to be going to watch ExH's brass band playing in the local park but I did warn him we wouldn't be coming if it was still raining. It still feels pretty strange that we get on far better living in two separate houses, but that's life I guess!

    Have a good day everyone

    Hi,

Queenie - if u need any help with ur typing up of recipes I can touchtype at 70 wpm and quite enjoy it:o so would be happy to help
Sammyk - it may be easier for bf to have a couple of tops that do up with buttons so he doesn't have to move arms about/put it over his head and strain/stretch anything
Moggins - glad to hear ur GS is out of the incubator :T

Well its a nice relaxing day planned for me (well as relaxed as DD's will let me anyway:rolleyes:). I'm going to spend the afternoon baking/making in the kitchen and then have a quick tidy round - thx to flying for the 1st time this wk not a lot needs to be done.

lol - wish u could all see my DDs - there are 2 flies in the living room and I told them to try and catch them :rotfl: :rotfl: They are hilarious - I don't know what I'd do without them :A

Hugs to every1 that needs 1.

    Luv Jxx

Crikey it seems ages since I posted on here, it's been a busy week!

OH has gone to work to day, so I've cracked on with cleaning the kitchen, bathroom & the ironing pile.

Also popped into town to take back a bra to M&S (bought usual size without trying it on & it's too big. Had to go down a size :T) and to get a few bits in Asda that I couldn't get in Morrisons yesterday. Bought a whoopsie pizza for £1, so that's lunch.

Got a "super roaster" chicken yesterday, so that's dinner with jacket spuds & cauliflower cheese, as well as a muck up for tomorrow & sarnies for OH to take to work.

VickyA - I was thinking of you yesterday when your team won - about the same time as my team were getting beat! It was in the cup, so the practical moneysaving side of me say that's saved us at least £200 on tickets for the next couple of rounds & a trip to Wembley!

Right off to sort some clothes out for our trip to New York next weekend, can't wait!

    Enjoy the rest of Sunday

Absolutely! My "boys" will have visited Twickenham 3 times this season. We're only going next weekend for the last visit (and our coach's last match), which will still cost us £200! If we'd gone to all 3, it would have been nearing £600 total. We do have a little "treat" each season - a couple of years ago it was to see them play in Dublin, which actually cost us a lot less than a trip to London! And we're only 70 miles away from London......

Have a lovely time in New York.

moggins - lovely to see you again :hello:

    Afternoon Guys!

Apologies for not posting the last few days but my health has been very poor with extreme pain, fatigue and frustration. My folks visited yesterday which was emotionally stressful and TBH, Ive just had enough and want to be left alone!

Anyway, stop moaning PP and get on with it:D

The last few days I have done 2 washloads, OH did an hr of ironing, swept through, spot checked everywhere downstairs with mother coming:rolleyes: inside of pine unit wiped out, dvd's sorted out, toilet cleaned x 4, cooking of meals but did have an Indian on Friday evening:o

Today, not much done as I have an essay due in on Tuesday, but DD has done her room and is revising for SATS in 2 weeks. OH has cooked a lovely dinner of Chicken, roasties, yorkies, stuffing, carrot/swede mash, cabbage and french beans:D ...smells lovely.

My plan is to take it quite easy for the rest of the day. Have 2 chapters to read and report back on, plus I have just found out that I have a major exam for the course they cocked up last year in June:eek:     ...am I mad! I am so glad my next course doesnt start till October, so I have 10 weeks of peace!

Anyway, hugs to all and sorry Im not being too positive and I hope everyone else is well and keeping their chins up.

    PP
