I popped into Mr S last night to top up on a few fresh essentials (salad, fruit, milk and bread). I have to say, having coverted to Ald1 over the last few months, I found Mr S to be extortionate! I actually didn't buy a couple of things I had gone in for as I couldn't bear to pay the full price!
Did however get some reasonably priced basics fruit and two large packs of YS rolls at 19p each. Still spent more than intended, just over £13. With spending £40 ish next weekend to use the Ald1 voucher, this will just take me over my GC target for the month - but only by pennies if nothing else is spent so here we go!.0 -
morning all
Yesterday £11 Lidl, cereal, tomatoes, lettuce and bottled water. Hubby likes the fizzy.
Asda £29...stocked up on Uncle Bens sauces which were only a £1 each. Some good prices yesterday. So enough in until the weekend.
Off to update signature ::)0 -

Small spend last night of £1.98 on coffee, hopefully last spend til Thursday when new budget starts, thereby keeping me just in budget this month
Had vegetable fajitas for dinner last night and making some kind of vegetable curry tonight. Then Bolognaise pasta bake on Wed and Spanish veg stew with couscous on Thursday (already made and in freezer). As I have all the ingredients, plus lunch and breakfast stuff, and even coke and crisps in for OH, I should NOT need to spend anything!Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

It's in this Thursdays paper and valid until the 4th of May.
NSD day for me, so far today. Will update sig now and amend if it changes.
I've had a glut of pears from my Oc*do delivery, which have all gone rotten despite the date on them being yesterday. ( I get more longevity out of the Aldi ones!), so i have kept myself from spending by making my first ever chutney from the pears, and a pear and chocolate loaf. Just tasted the chutney with some cheese for dinner, and OMG it is delicious. Will never buy it again, so easy to make! Also ordered bagels which went stale and as no room in freezer, i have grated the remainder and put the breadcrumbs in the freezer, until i find something i can do with them.
Enjoy your day folks.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 Jul £134.25/£150 Aug £119.37/£150 £92.09/£150‼️Sep £/£160 Oct (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month.
