It is in the Mirror newspaper, not sure which day but someone on here will know!
or the Daily Record if you live in Scotland, usually the last Thursday of the month:)
It's in this Thursdays paper and valid until the 4th of May.

NSD day for me, so far today. Will update sig now and amend if it changes.

I've had a glut of pears from my Oc*do delivery, which have all gone rotten despite the date on them being yesterday. ( I get more longevity out of the Aldi ones!), so i have kept myself from spending by making my first ever chutney from the pears, and a pear and chocolate loaf. Just tasted the chutney with some cheese for dinner, and OMG it is delicious. Will never buy it again, so easy to make :D! Also ordered bagels which went stale and as no room in freezer, i have grated the remainder and put the breadcrumbs in the freezer, until i find something i can do with them.

    Enjoy your day folks.

Thanks all, I'm in England (wish it was Scotland!) So I'll pick up the mirror on Thursday. Nice idea for pear chutney! I do have a couple of pears going beyond soft...

    Hi Everyone

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to read all the posts.
Last month I was dreadful but this month I have been much better

So far (and I have rounded up) I have spent a total of £85. Yay!!
I have been planning better and using up what is in my store cupboard and freezer. So I had one small shop, a veg/fruit box (which was reduced) and today a Waitrose shop. I think they are very competitive now and delivery is good. Also if they have to substitute they charge you the original price even if the substitute is dearer.

However, I went for the £10 meal as they were offering a chicken. I thought this would last me quite a few meals BUT I didn't get the whole chicken but a pack of 2 breasts in a leek and wensleydale sauce. I was disappointed so rang them. They refunded me the money, which was great. I didn't realise I could have returned the meal back to the driver for a full refund. So/ result and the meal is in the freezer.

My month finishes at the end of April so one more week, and then I will decide what to allow for next month. I overspent so much last month but at least have clawed it back this month!

Hugs to anyone who needs one and enjoy this lovely weather :)

    Eighth Anniversary
Been to tesco a few too many times last few days.
    Sat 29p onions
    Mon 1.84
Tues 9.00 household items for flying
    Tues 45.16 weekly shop

I'm still well under budget. Hopefully there will be enough left at the end of the month for a night out. I have to watch my spends next week.

Ooo yum - thanks! I don't have all the ingredients this week, and don't think they'll last til I go shopping at the weekend, but I'll remember it next time. I might just stew them with sugar for now...

Just realised I posted to the old March thread yesterday with an update... I need to delete the old links sooner! Was just to update on a couple of shops at the weekend, leaving me with £20 to last me to the end of next week. I think I'll be a few £s over budget, because I borrowed money from my normal purse for the food purse one day, but don't know if I repaid it all!

Hoping to reduce my target by £5 next month to £75. I think it's manageable, but will wait and see!

@minicooper72 ( forgot to quote you) : I was going to do that at first but thought i would get it over and done with in one fell swoop and make the chutney!

I am going to be over again this month as i've just booked a delivery for Fri to qualify for a £12 off voucher which i had in my inbox. So, as cat food was on offer too, and i am not including that in this month's budget but i am in next month's; i sneaked two of those in, which i will include one as free for the equivalent of my shopping, and the other will deduct off. So i estimate with £6.50 in promotions, i should come in about 23.37 over budget. With the £40 off voucher next week and Ald* voucher, i will be struggling to use all. So, as i still have a delivery saver til the 10th of June, i might skip this month's Ald* voucher and just get next month's, because then i won't be tied to a Mr T shop!

I will get my spends under control if it kills me!!!

Pear chutney sounds lovely, normally chutneys don't taste that good until they're sat for a couple of months so it must be a great recipe, will look it up as I love making chutney and hate waiting :-)

No spends today. Made vegetable dhansak for dinner (getting right into my curry making of late!). OH said it was the best homemade curry he's ever had lol.

Pic is right way up here, and not overly massive!

Chutney was gorge alongside some cheese. It said keeps for three weeks, so not sure if it would be any better say after a few days/week etc. I think it will be okay probably for longer though. I think it'll be gone by then ;)

Congratulations of salvaging your pears and bagels but as it appears that these were in date I think it worth
while to email and tell them, you may well get a refund.
