    :wave:Hi everyone,
We've got back from holiday and been using use-ups from the self-catered house so yesterday was the first spend this month; £20 for two lovely trout, a box of fish pie pieces and a huge bag of salad stuff. Having bought it, we ended up with a store-cupboard tea before I rushed out to meet my friends.

We had fettucine with half a jar of red pesto, some good olive oil, half a pack of philly cheese and a sprinkle each of black pepper, parmesan and flaky salt - stirred together and it is a ten minute job and yum (pasta takes 4 mins). So just a few staples (milk, eggs, joice etc) to get.

In something of a dilemna as I have a 10% off Waitrose card that runs until 23rd April and it is burning a hole but... it's only a bargain if you need it. I'm never going to catch up on this thread but I wish you all well. My overall spend for the year to date (YTD) is only marginally more than the 25% it should be; so far, so good!

    Take care

  • Morning everyone, just been catching up with posts and all seems to be going pretty well this month.

DH bought a some bits for lunches total of £4.70 a couple of days ago and then yesterday it was £3.79 for bread and milk, other than that it's been NSD's since last week.

The next proper shop will be on Thursday so seeing how we go until then.

    Off to update sig.

    Have a lovely weekend all.

Due to a combination of being ill and taking my daughter shopping with me, have spent £60 in Sburys on food, dog food and treats plus skincare toiletries. Gave Aldi a miss as couldn't face two shops, really want to cut back the next couple of weeks, cupboards and freezer have enough in to last without any major top-ups so am determined to come in a fair bit under budget. Have meal planned til end of month.

Always conscious of potential for Sbury to work out expensive compared to other shops, Brand Match receipt said it was £7.86 cheaper .

A spend of £11.65 on a few bargains today in the C*-*p ... two packs of YS frubes for DD's pack lunches which i have frozen, two x two pack cadbury desserts ( again for DD), Wykes farm 3 for 1 cheese, Hellmans lighter than light mayo ( as can't get to Aldi for their Bramwell one) two for £3 and milk. Should have all cost £21.01 before offers!

Was going to make crispy cakes but forgot to see if C*-*p sells an equivalent of value chocolate.

Hoping to just get top ups or YS through the week now, as don't need anything til possibly next weekend.

Decided to do a big shop as I'm going back to work this week and had a £5 voucher for Mr T.
Managed to spend £51 but I got double dog food, some toiletries to stock up a bit and enough main meals to last 2 weeks. In theory I only need fresh stuff next week. Famous last words.:p
