Top up shop at Aldi for milk, bread, butter and a box of cat food £6.87. I'm dangerously close to my target but only have 9 days until payday so hopefully we'll last. Have enough in for the meals planned anyway.

Dinner is a £4.99 smoked gammon joint from Aldi that's in the SC now (smells lovely) with chips for them and a leftover sweet pot jacket for me from last nights meal plus green beans. Leftovers meat will go in freezer for another meal next week.

Meals for the weekend will be:
    Sat - Pasta Bolognese
Sun - Hot beef sandwiches made from SC brisket

Need to sort out what we're having on which day next week but will have:
Fish fingers and chips, 2nd meal from sundays brisket, chilli made and in freezer, sausage mash & veggies, HM pizza, HM lasagne made and in freezer.

Me too, back to work next week. Biggest potential spending trap will be buying lunches at the office or round about I think, really hoping to get organised with packed lunches or pop home.

I've just realised that I have been doing a very MSE thing at work - our office is on a business estate and the only snack food in walking distance is from a greasy burger van. For the last 4 years I have commandeered a drawer in a filing cabinet to run my 'Tuck Shop', which is packed full of crisps and chocolate and also lunches like microwave rice and tins of soup for people who forget to bring their lunch in. Everything is priced (at supermarket prices - I don't make a profit) and then I collect the money from the honesty box to buy more when necessary.

On a less organised note - went to Ald! for milk, forgot the milk and spent £7.55 on Super Six.

A few small spends to report. We have had some days out this week as it is the school holidays and we went past a Mr T so i stocked up on value white choc as none of the SM near us have it and we like white chocolate chunk cookies. Got 10 bars so that will keep us going for a while :) also got a few YS breakfast bits for the freezer and got a huge bag of dried chillies from an asian SM nearby for £1.60.
Popped into Asd* for milk and also picked up 2 large heads of broccoli for 35p. Total spend was £6.10.

Top up shop at Ald* needed over the weekend to get fruit and fresh buts ready for school/work next week. I am going to write a list and send Mr PP as the budget is getting a bit tight and he never debites from his list:)

Even though it's Friday night which generally means frozen pizza or some other rubbish I still made meatloaf (no.2 from recipe index) for tomorrow night, meatballs for the freezer for next week, no bake key lime pie (made more than I expected so I have frozen one as an experiment) & a banana & ginger parkin (both from recipe index).

And then I 'cooked' pizza, chips, beans & southern fried chicken for dinner :rotfl:

Gonna struggle to keep in budget but been doing some planning this afternoon to help me.

    Evening everyone,

Just had the baked gnocchi from the index. Used a Ts fresh tomato and mascarpone sauce. Was going to serve with mange tout but when I got the packet out of the fridge the majority had brown dots on despite the bb date being 17th April. Not impressed. So we just had the meatballs and gnocchi which was lovely - probably very calorific though and only for occasional consumption ;)

Total bill at Ts today was £76.64 after the £5 wys £40. £22.08 was 2nd purse stock though (2 x Kenc0 refills at £3 each and 12 bottles of D0ve shampoo/conditioner on offer at £1.34 each instead of £2.69 ;))

I have meal planned until next Friday and apart from f&v and milk we should have all we need (famous last words).

Sat - turkey puff pastry ring, veg, mini roasties
Sun - roast gammon, cauliflower, roast pots
Mon - breaded haddock, hm chips, peas
Tues - hm shepherds pie and veg
Wed - Thai red chicken curry and rice
Thurs - pork spare rib steaks in sweet and sour sauce, noodles
Fri - sausage, mash and veg

    Have a good evening everyone

e59ed2c2-2f60-442d-b629-00e9930a11d9_zpsfb499c28.jpgSpent £14.78 today in Te$co but only counting £4.78 as used a £10 voucher. Last week or so we have been doing our shopping on a Thursday in A!di then taking mum to Te$co on Friday and it is stopping as of now because its costing us more. Mum will just have to go on Thursday’s with us. Luckily the shops are very close to each other so we will drop mum off and pick her up when we are done in Te$co. Mum will not shop at A!di as she says there is nothing in there for her!!!

For tonight’s meal we had stuffed mushrooms, roasted parsnips & salad. Followed by fruit and yogurt. An odd combination but it was lovely and very colourful! Only did the parsnips because they really needed using up.

Hope everyone has a good week end and doesn’t spend too much.

I'm doing better so far this month, only 2 smallish spends so far.
Will have soup tonight as I had omelette, beans and chips for lunch and still feeling full. Stir fry chicken tomorrow. I've also got some mince which I will make into a cottage pie and chilli. Then freeze the extra portions. Also have some butternut squashes which I will roast and make into soup.
I am in the process of spring cleaning my kitchen so will make a list of what is in my storecupboard. I still have loads in my freezer so trying to eat my way through that as well.
Keep up the good work everyone :T
