Ah thanks DIA, still got loads j could get rid of but I am pleased with how much has gone! I'm trying not to think about work cause it's already stressing me out but I need to use that as motivation to leave quickly once everything is in place. 2017 will be the year I leave that job! Hope you've had a lovely Christmasx

Evening
I've had a really lovely Christmas, spending time with my brother and SIL, seeing other family and generally just chilling........and a bit of over indulgence with food :rotfl: It was lovely to be back in my home town too and it's reinforced my feelings that it'd the right move for my character
They had some of their friends over and they were lovely, they're all close and there for each other and I realised that I don't have those kind of friendships in my current town. I'm not expecting to foist myself on them and their friends all the time when I move back but it would be nice to be on the fringe occasionally. But then I do have my own friends in my home town, and maybe a few friends I can reconnect with........as well as potential new friends

I've got no plans for the rest of my time off, and no plans for NYE. I don't really like New Years Eve and I'm much happier staying at home, especially this year cause of poorly cat. In previous years, I've said yes to a night out then had a crap time. Probably my fault for expecting the best night everrrrr :rotfl::rotfl: Anyway, start the new year as I mean to go on........in my pyjamas lolling on the sofa eating chocolate :rotfl::D;)Debt Apr 15 - £6895.44Apr 17 - £2500

I'm going to do the penny challenge in 2017 so in exactly a year and a day from now I should have £667.95 :T I'm doing it slightly different though to what you're meant to do as I don't deal much with cash so I'm doing it online (just opened my 16th instant saver account with Nati0nwide
and wondering if I can find enough excuses to open up another 4 for a nice even 20
) and in random order as it'll be too hard to save the larger amounts towards the end of the year when I'm likely to be earning much less. Wish me luck

Hi Ena,
Wow! 16 instants savers?!!! I have 5 and was thinking that was too many so was going to close one :rotfl: However, you've inspired me to keep it open and join you in the Penny Challenge. I like the idea of moving pennies around online each day... will be a good excuse to log on to online banking every day and keep tabs on myselfI think I'm also going to do it slightly differently and start it from Dec 01st so that i can finish on Nov 30th and use the £667.95 for Christmas spends. So I'll log onto Nati0nwide in a wee while and plonk £4.96 in my (currently empty, 0.5%) instant saver to cover this month and then carry on as usual by moving just 32p tomorrow. Woohoo! £667.95 by Christmas 2017!! We'll be rich Ena, rich I tell you. :j Best of luck with the challenge... and with everything else you plan and wish for in 2017 xx

Rich beyond our wildest dreams :rotfl:;);):D
Thanks Betty, best of luck with the penny challenge too. I'm going to copy you and back date mine to the 1st December so the money is ready for next Christmas
Ah go on, go on, go on.........open up some more accounts :rotfl:
Wishing you a wonderful 2017:)

It's here......the end of the year! I'll be spending the first few days still writing 2016 :rotfl:
I've chilled out today mostly, with brief visits to the spare room to sort my junk / craft stuff out. I found all my old beloved Nancy Drew books in a box earlier. I tried to pass them to my niece a few years ago but she wasn't much of a reader and now she's 16, I think she's a bit old, so I've put them on a shelf for now. It was only about 5 years ago that I found out that the author of the books, Carolyn Keene, wasn't even a real person  It was a load of different ghost writers writing under that name! Ruined my childhood memories :rotfl: But maybe not quite as much as the trauma of watching Button Moon as an adult and seeing the puppeteers arms moving ;):D
