Cambodia, Vietnam (history, nice people, cheap)

Sri Lanka (such variety in a small place...Tombs/temples, tea plantation country, safari)

    New Zealand (scenery, great people)

Egypt (historic sites but much hassle)

Norway (expensive but seeing Aurora Borealis is magic)

Sveti Stefan (teeny island in what was then Yugoslavia)

Venice (even with the hoards of people)

Lake District (nothing better on a warm sunny day)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Abroad: Venice is my favourite city. Santa Eulalia in Ibiza is my second home. Love Lake Garda and Sicily. Also love parts of Germany.

Home: Love North Wales (Llandudno), South Wales (Tenby) In fact, loads of places in the UK are stunning, despite the weather!

If I had to pick one place, it would have to be Ibiza (of course) It's one of the prettiest islands I have ever seen.

I have travelled extensively through Russia. It is a fascinating country with so much history, fascinating museums and art galleries which I love. Moscow is my favourite city, with St Petersburg a close second.

The food and culture is so different to other places I have visited and you really feel like you are a traveller there rather than just a tourist. It has a really stimulating edge to it.

The Moscow underground is one of the most wonderful things to see. Each station is a work of art.

I also loved travelling round Australia and South Africa. Cape Town is a brilliant destination and it is well worth travelling inland to Stellenbosch.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

Canada and the rockies - absolutely awesome!

I agree with this. I spent a summer touring round the Rockies. Jasper, Banff, Lake Louise. The most spectaular scenery. I loved Vancouver and taking the ferry to Victoria Island.

I think I'd have to go for South America, but it's so hard to pick just one or two places. I love the cities of Buenos Aires and Rio, the Inca ruins in Peru, lots of places in Bolivia (especially the Salar de Uyuni and surrounding area). I haven't been to the northern half of South America yet, or to Mexico and central America, but would love to one day.

Within Europe, I love the Salento peninsula in Italy - delicious fresh food and wine, nice beaches, friendly locals. I've always been very fond of Spain as well - Madrid is a great city, and I also love driving through the rural areas and just stopping where I feel like it.
Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

Absolutely loved Havana/Varadero purely for the history and culture of the city followed by the peace, calm and relaxation of the beach.
Also loved Mexico - in particular Cancun and Playacar but this may have also been due to the family weddings we attended there!
City wise - Toronto has always been a favourite and somewhere I will hopefully get back to soon.
Europe - last summer had a cheapy week in Crete and would heartily recommend it.

Dominican Republic is booked for November this year.

On my wish list still to visit are - Vegas, New York, Rio, Kenya, Maldives, Thailand, Dubai/Abu Dhabi/Oman and Australia.
