I've had a lovely holiday in stalis too, Crete is my fav Greek island :-)
For a not too far tropical (sea) holiday it's Sharm, but you gotta stay in a really good hotel - Sensatori is lovely.
Fav holiday - Mexico :-) but Sharm is a close second :-)0 -

Spent 9 days in Italy, two days in Milan then 7 days at Stresa on Lake Maggiore.
Glorious weather despite it being the first week in October. Loved visiting the island on the lake, travelling by boat to other parts. Spent a day on a scenic train to Locarno in Switzerland, takes you by the mountains
Then a few hours on a ferry back to our apartment, just beautiful x Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Costa Rica, as so much to offer, 2 coast lines, volcano, 5 micro climates and locals are generally very warm and friendly."Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."

We've been fortunate to have some really lovely holidays but probably for me, in no particular order:
Barbados 3 years ago, met the loveliest family who we still get together with now & then
Cape Town - our last 'big' family holiday with all 3 of our DD's
St Lucia last year - silver wedding anniversary when we stayed at a Sandals resort, it was just lovely and very special.0 -
Great Thread!
I love going on holiday and spend ages planning them-I book for next year as soon as I am home-can't cope if I dont have a holiday to plan and we often are very lucky and benefit from airmiles.
I loved Nevis, Corsica, Ischia, Morroco and Mauritius. - I like food and I like Islands.0 -
i love islands as well.......................Anna Maria off the Gulf coast in Florida is probably my fave place in the world, closely followed by Lanzarote , can`t beat those blue-sky canarian days with the stark landscapes. Northern Mallorca is another.....................0
