If the course is designated as full time then she's ineligible to claim benefits, regardless of the number of hours she's doing. One year of my degree I only had compulsory attendance of one hour but it was still a full time course.0 -
well said!
as this is a money saving site. Martin should come out and actually teach people what money really is.
Until people learn that basic knowledge, they have no chance.
The tables rigged guys, its a big club. and we're not in it!!
(Martin is though)
...slave to the money comes to mind!!!
Educate yourselves people, your money is only as good as the government of the day says it is, you could wake up tomorrow and find that a pound now only has the value of a penny!!!

This link is for an informative video on the subject!I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.
Don't rely on anything I write as it may be wrong!!!0 -
My parents, grandparents have paid tax which has gone to run the country in their time, there seems to be a belief that tax and NI we pay are saved into an account for when we are older or become unemployed.
People currently paying income tax and NI are paying for the benefits of those who currently enjoy not having to work.
LOL i think you are being paid to be this silly.
where are the jobs for people? there are about 6-7 million unemployed.
there are about 400,000 jobs available. most of which are low quality/pay.
and of course its meant to go into an account and paid back later. that is a pension you silly billy.
although it will not happen now tho. anyone less than 35 will never see a pension.
tight now all out taxes are going to the EU and the Private banks who charge us interest on money they pull out of thin air.
oh and also to royalty.
did you know that the queen own 1 fifth of all the land on the planet. owns a portfolio of around 16 trillion.
she could pay for all the worlds poverty 3 times over and not even have to change her lifestyle.
why will she not even pay a few pensioners gas bills?
Because we are her slaves.0 -
That sounds ike a full time degree in which case she is ineligible for any benefits and has been claiming fraudulently. If the course is designated as full time then she's ineligible to claim benefits, regardless of the number of hours she's doing. One year of my degree I only had compulsory attendance of one hour but it was still a full time course.
A three year, two days a week course sounds like a second, same level degree rather than a Masters.
If that's the case, as the posters above have said, she shouldn't be claiming benefits.0 -
peculiarpetulia wrote: »NO FULL STOP about it - she HAS NOT been claiming fraudelantly. You need to get your facts right because you have them WRONG here. As said before, she confirmed the days/times of attendance in writing from the college to the job centre - if there was a problem they wouldve stopped her from claiming. IT IS NOT a full time course.
Perhaps you could give a link to the course she's on and someone will check out whether it actually is full time. You could do this by pm if you would prefer.
Your daughter really needs to get this sorted out now because, if she is claiming fraudulently she could end up with both a criminal record and a large sum of money to repay.0 -

I know why your being so horrid to the OP... you want them to lose it so you can get them banned.
if its less than 16 hours per week is part time. the jobcentre would never allow it otherwise.
now apologize to the OP.0 -

please explain why do you think its drivel?
just because you don't understand my words, does not give you the right to insult me or my posts.0
