Message will no doubt have needed to be vetted by a legal team to remove accountability - I'm sure some sellers have lost a large amount of sales through this glitch and ebay could potentially be liable for some kind of loss of income action.0

An offer of recompense would have been in my message if it were my company. From what I can gather the sellers concerned are largely high volume and good customers for Ebay, I would do as much as I could to keep them. The whole thing shows what poor management there is at Ebay.Message will no doubt have needed to be vetted by a legal team to remove accountability - I'm sure some sellers have lost a large amount of sales through this glitch and ebay could potentially be liable for some kind of loss of income action..0 -
I got that as well.
My manual relists are not in the same Best Match places. Our best seller was 1st and is now 10th so no sales on that one I guess.0 -
Has anyone elses been relisted yet?
I haven't had anything - the only 2 that I have listed are the ones that I did last night.0 -

If smaller sellers affected by this think they will be getting any compensation I'd think again. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure that if you dig deep enough ebay will have covered itself against anything like this and will say that incomes and uptimes are not guaranteed.
As I said, I might be wrong but I wouldn't hold your breath.0 -

It might be worth watching the US boards, those Americans are a litigious lot and if anyone is prepared to sue ebay for loss of income it will be them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I received a call last night and said they had information for me on a voicemail. The number I received was the 0800 helpline, but I had the name of someone and assumed I would get to speak to her or someone with information. If smaller sellers affected by this think they will be getting any compensation I'd think again. The CS rep I spoke to was woefully under informed, she didn't know why I had a listing pulled. I repeatedly said it was more than one and over a hundred. When I was obviously getting nowhere I asked to speak to someone higher up. She came back 5 minutes later and said that everything was OK, my listings were going back up and I would be refunded my listing fees for the relists. I asked what would happen to the lost trade and that the items relisted were all incorrect, as the inventory is the initial listing and not the end listing. She just repeated that I would get the listing fees back as though they were doing me a favour.
At that point I was more than fuming but still trying to remain polite. The superviser then came on and she was as poorly informed. She told me (and this is a direct quote) "if you had 100 listings and were charged £100 to list them, that £100 would be refunded". So a CS rep who thinks I pay £1 per listing for fixed price GTC listings.
Day on day they have just made this worse..0
