    'reaching out' seriously?! :silenced:
They haven't reached me yet, not even a message.

I was thinking about it and can't really see what they can do to put it right. There's at least a day's trading plus aggravation, inconvenience and a total loss of confidence.

a recent post over on the ps forum just about sums up perfectly how many affected sellers have been feeling since 6pm yest.
Surely eBay know if it is possible on their systems to reinstate an ended listing. If not then they should be immediately putting up a notice advising sellers affected to relist themselves.

Mistakes happen, big mistakes happen, but the way a company responds when they happen can be even worse than the fact that a mistake happened in the first place.

eBays lack of clarity on what action to take, the lack of a general announcement, shows eBay to be both incompetent and lacking in customer service - qualities that they expect from their sellers, but fail to provide themselves.

Oh well, that's fine then isn;t it :(

For all you big sellers who are watching your income fall away- you have a three line note from ebay now to make it all OK.

    What rubbish

What they blame on a "software" issue, I'm 100% sure is actually a !!!! up made by real people, somewhere along the line.

Indeed. I would have thought that they should have software in place to stop it happening. If I'm about to delete anything I'm usually asked before it gets deleted and anything big I can restore in a few minutes with back ups.

At a push they could blame a hacker or other criminal activity but a software issue is particularly lame.

I agree, I don't see how this can be a software issue. If it was it could have been corrected very quickly- and anyway, software needs a person to actually click 'go' or 'change' or whatever.

This is the old joke response isn't it 'The computer did it all on its own- we did nuffink- honest guv'

Ebay blaming this on a software issue is a bit like Nat West blaming their losses on a money issue. It isn't really an explanation.

I'm still waiting for my message.

Hang on, that's positive - it means if you get below TRS status, you will retain it for two months to give you a chance to return it to standard before losing it completely.

From what i gather though they are saying that my standards are dropping, but don't worry we'll look after you bull carp. They are claiming i am being given a grace period. When there's nothing changed from any other month i've never had this message before. I have a big i on my trs standard.

I'd appreciate their grace period if i had done something wrong-but i haven't so they can get stuffed.

    this is what is says..
Sellers will have a grace period to bring their performance back up to eBay Top-rated seller standard without losing their status and benefits if they fall to Above Standard.

I take that to mean my standards have fallen-and they haven't, never had that message before either.

No, they aren't. It is a protection issue and offering you security, not saying you've done anything wrong. I think it's if you've been TRS for 3 consecutive months or more.

You get a box with how many low ratings they have removed over the previous month, it may be none.
