The US and UK fees are surprisingly different. FVFs are on postage too there, which is probably the biggest difference. As I understand each Ebay country has a certain amount of autonomy at running their own site.
I know but does anyone know what's just been announced over there that has caused a riot?Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0 -
Oh no something has happened to mine
I now have in my dashboard
i. Based on your good track record and as long as you keep your seller performance as Above Standard, your account is eligible for Top-rated seller protection in the following countries: UK and Ireland. Learn more about eligibility
this is bull, theres nothing wrong with my standards-no low stars, no bad feedback, no cases. I hate ebay!0 -

I was at Ebay Live in Chicago a few years ago, just after they had removed sellers being able to leave negative feedback, there was nearly a riot from disgruntled sellers. They haven't had one since..0 -
Hell, you've been an eBay seller a long time if you were there.
I see the fees are indeed moving more closer to the UK.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0 -

Hang on, that's positive - it means if you get below TRS status, you will retain it for two months to give you a chance to return it to standard before losing it completely.0 -

How is every looking this morning, any sign of the removed listings reappearing yet?
On the seller I was looking at last night, his have reappeared, and some of the people on the community thread on P1 appear to have listings appearing.
Some appear to have been hidden, and some have been ended, so it's not possible for me know know if it's just the hidden ones reappearing or if removed auctions have been reinstated.
Tried ringing CS about a completely different issue at 8am, and was advised of a 50min wait - one for another day, seems problems not yet solved. Going to be a fun day for the CS staff.0 -
Well I haven't had any of listings reactivated - they have definately been ended nor have I received any messages etc from eBay.0

None here. I discovered listings deleted before most people as I didn't have a long wait for CS (they were no help though). How is every looking this morning, any sign of the removed listings reappearing yet?
I've relisted all I wanted to, so not sure what will happen if they get reinstated.
I'd be surprised if they could reinstate items with inventory, history and watchers as before.
I'm more hacked off about this than I ever have been. Not only the lack of announcement let alone a message but the fact that it can happen is appalling. It shows how weak their infrastructure is and that doesn't give me any confidence in them at all.
At the moment they'll have to do a lot to make this right for me..0 -
This has not happened to me, but I think the thing I find most worrying is the apparent lack of any real concern by ebay. Looking at the boards, every one that did get through has been told somehtign different- some people have receievd messages and some not, some have been told to relist- and some not.
Any other business would be emailing out with updates to reassure sellers who may, after all, have tens of thousands of pounds investe din their ebay messages.
It would be rather like a complete strangershutting down your warehouse and changing the locks and a watchman telling you he doesn't know why, he can't let you in and he hs no idea what is going on. Then expecting you to sit at home, watching your business slip away while someone somewhere tinkers with it and doesn't tell you anything more.
Somone has also posted a reminder that when we had the paypal double payment glitch CS told sellers to refund the 2nd payment as that would make it right- only to have paypal then refund them both again. Alledgedly some sellers are still considerably out of pocket on that one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
