Does this thread pruning make anybody feel like a member of the Scooby Doo gang, running down the corridor/ hallway/tunnel forever without actually reaching the end of it? :D

    Yes. Definitely.

It is about as productive as procrastinating but your tootsies will feel and look better.

I'm really, really good at procrastinating. It's one of the things I am best at. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I have spent the day spring cleaning my kitchen. I think in the 7 years I've lived here it has never been cleaner (mucky cow)..

I've not got round to procrastinating yet.

Nor me, it's on my to-do list, but waaaaay, way down.

Edit: Flippin' heck! I'm frightened to take a nap in case I find myself back at the start of Nice People 8.

It took me 1.5 hours to make some mash ..... had to do it in two microwave batches and the first batch I set aside to see if leaving it sitting would improve its texture as the spuds were waxy type when I really needed floury type - that's the trouble with buying "cheapest potatoes/Kg", you can't pick and choose the best spuds for what you want to make.

So, lunch/tea today was: 6 yorkshires, 400grams of broccoli/cauli/carrots, fresh mash and lashings of instant onion gravy. Served in a huge bowl.

For afters I had a 1" square of a lemon cheesecakey thing.

DH made breakfast.....egg and half a muffin each and some bacon. (There was coffee and fruit juice too) so we skipped lunch. Then he had something from a bakery when we took the mortgage stuff in.

Tonight we are having ...um....., courgettes again:o. (Its all I want to eat , its getting boring). In my defence I am roasting a duck tomorrow. And I've got an apple pie in the oven now. Thankfully DH understands food fads, though poor parent hates courgettes, but this is the first time I will have served them to parent so I feel once a year it can be suffered.

If all goes to plan this time next year I'll be eating my way through a glut of courgettes. I'll need to too, as having [STRIKE]wasted[/STRIKE] spent the afternoon pottering on the internet there are a lot of things on my shopping list.

I'm thinking of having dinner now to draw a line under this afternoon and start a fresh evening session full of productivity....

Your house is lovely nikkster. Is there much you actually NEED immediately?

Shouldn't be. It'll be things like making sure the electrics are sound, removing what I think are now non-functional sockets from skirting boards etc first. (assuming the survey doesn't point out anything drastic)

Nice to have a bit of a daydream though :)

You're way ahead of me - you've got a LIST!!
Well, it'll be a list when I get it organised properly.:D

Just cancelled something we discussed earlier. Was worried they'd want me to return the document I can't find (and there would deffo be a replacement fee ) but they just said destroy the documents as they're no longer valid.
    Result!
