I've had an offer accepted on a house

    Yay! Well done. :T:beer::j

But... where is it? What's it like? Why do you like it? What will the journey to work be like? How did the offer/counter-offer process go? What sort of work will you need to do to it? Etc etc etc....

Come on, woman, the NP want DETAILS. ;)
    Congrats N.

We really need to get out house hunting off the ground. It's not looking promising, enquired about a new listing to be told they had 15 viewings already booked in on Saturday (we kind of know the agent so it probably isn't a lie either). Our friends are looking in the same area and offered 12k over the asking price on something only to be told (by the same agent) that they were tens of thousands short... We might need to consider a slightly less popular area.

Sounds discouraging. Hope you find a more promising place to look soon. Keep us posted, anyway. We're all following your story. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Did you ever get your Collins DIY book for when you become a homeowner?

We have two of those books. If we can see you soon you must take our second one if you don't have it. Buying it would be cheaper than the trip to collect it though, :)

There is a reporter filling in a lot on TV about an easel that does not have an announcement on it.

    The Royal Sprog is........

    A boy. :)
The baby was delivered at 16:24 BST at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, west London, weighing 8lb 6oz.

The palace said in a statement that the duchess and the baby were "doing well" and would stay in hospital overnight

but this house only popped up on my search when I upped my price limit and opened up my location preferences. I.e. it was above what I was aiming to pay, and not quite where I was aiming for :o
I could do that ... except I'd not be able to afford to buy it and it'd still be in the wrong place :)

Oh and, thank god it's a boy... the endless whittering if it was a girl would have really got on my t1ts/

I'm pleased for them babies are nice. Moved on to wondering why I can no longer get my nails into a decent shape myself and wondering if I should cut them off or keep trying and paint them. Its been ages since I had proper length finger nails, see,a a shame I cannot make them look decent.
