My experience of a lot of lefties moaning is ..... they don't realise that righties also put up with things too, without moaning. e.g. those folding chairs with the can holder in the right arm.... lefties will moan "there's none in the left" - you know what...? Righties don't use it because it's in the wrong soddin' place, they don't want it where their 'dominant' hand/arm are and it's in a stupid/awkward place as their dominant hand/arm are probably waving all over the place and it'll end in tears as they whack what's in there. People don't use the drink holder..... so, lefties, buy the soddin' chairs.

the only thing which is really annoying is that scissors don't work very well in your left hand even if the grip is ambidextrous. apart from that nothing actually bothers me, although when i mess up cutting up a roast joint or a loaf of bread i always blame the right-handed knife...

In the labs at my school we have trays of scissors for the use of kid who haven't brought their own, if the lesson requires any cutting of paper. We have red handled ones that are right handed, and yellow/green handled ones that are left handed. So you'd be provided for if you were cutting paper in my lesson. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

if i could come and sit at the back of your classroom and just cut up pieces of paper instead of going to work i reckon i would be the happiest i have ever been.

although that reminds of a physics lesson at school where we were cutting card into shapes and hanging it from pieces of string in order to locate the centre of gravity of the shape. someone (innocently, i think) drew around a pair of scissors. i'm sure you can imagine the resulting shape. our teacher had what can only be described as a total meltdown. i struggle to think of a time when i have ever seen an angrier human being.

On stepping onto ice rinks, do NPs move to the right or left (and are you right- or left-handed).i.e do you go clockwise or anti-clockwise as seen from above.

Realise this might get no answers as there are very few ice rinks in our general neck of the woods

I last went ice skating when I was about six, I really cannot remember which way I turned. I had baby skating lessons though, so I rather guess, as I stopped doing it, the answer wasn't

' neither, I step out into the ice then skate confidentially into the middle!'

With horse arenas , I'd do something based on equestrian etiquette. ( in uk you pass left to left...in other countries you check you girth several times while trying to look cool outside the warm up area a till you are sure which way you pass )
