When is it on? Is it the series with a Mogwai soundtrack that viva and chewie talked about a while back?

Sundays at 9pm on Ch4 (or 10pm on Ch4+1 :)). Yes, its the one with the Mogwai soundtrack.
Its the just about the only programme I'm making a special effort to watch at the moment (which is not to say that I don't sit in front of a lot of other televised guff).

Have you been watching The Returned? Comes highly recommended by myself and lemonjelly. Plus its only in series 1 so there is a lot less to catch up on ;)

    Erm.....

I don't watch much TV. Come to think of it, I haven't read the books I was recommended ages ago either. What do I do!?

I've enjoyed the Wire and Dexter and Breaking Bad. Need to catch up with Dexter, and MadMen. Got my parents interested in MadMen ( I like it but it's their era).
Dr Who and Sherlock Ilike. It bugs me they're now made by the same guy- too many eggs in one basket. What if he wants the weekends off or a holiday.

Haven't watched any French TV series since Robinson Crusoe when I was a kid. When we used to go on holiday if we watched telly there used to be International British hour with Tales of the Unexpected and if I'm not mistaken, To the Manor Born.

Gen mentioned that Belgium had British TV and all other neighbouring countries too so they spoke with a British accent. Allthsses you've been on hols in Malta. Was there British telly there?

I think Malta had most of freeview but Dubai (this year) was poor on BBC and UK stuff except the news channels.

I didn't miss it as you could keep up pretty well on Android (tablet)

Had the washing machine guy out today. My 3+ year old big drum Pannasonic washing machine is making noises so he condemned it as they don't fix the bearings.
They are either going to give me a new one (with a new 5 year warranty) or a credit note for what I paid. Result!!

Hmm - we got one of those panasonics, lets just hope the bearings go before the 5 years is up and we get a replacement PDQ - being without a washing machine for even a few days is a pain in the proverbial. I have this suspicion that they do not uprate the bearings for the large load fast spin machines, our last one failed on the bearings at just over two years old and the retailer refused to do anything about it and it wasn't economical to fix :(
    I think....

Sometimes we produce things that don't become popular here but are absolutely classic. If you get the chance to watch the police/crime series "The Shadow Line" you'd be amazed.

I wonder if someone moved countries whether they would still try to tune into their home countries telly and whether that delays their integration into the new home.

When I was a kid I used to think it would be brilliant if we could see other countries telly.

Problem is now it's happening, the quality seems so low I'm deeply underwhelmed. I'm not saying it's all embarassing stuff like "Mind Your Language" or "Love Thy Neighbour". It's just boring stuff like "The History of Concrete" or "Banqueting with Cabbage"

Gen, SC, CK, all spend time in other countries and I wonder how much it's worth tuning into
    a) stuff from home
    b) global stuff from the US we all watch
    c) local good stuff like the Returned/all these Scandinavian detective series?

Luther's utterly topical at the moment. Gotta watch the 4th episode!

So I have no idea who clicks on them and why I pay Google....it's not nice paying out for an invisible thing.

It was capped @ £500 pcm as when we 1st did it...it was over a grand in just 2 weeks so I capped it quick.

I mainly used adwords for typos on our brand name ...next time I'll do one that spells as it says.
Google Analytics should mean it's not invisible. You should know where all the traffic's from, what keywords they used, which advert they clicked, what they bought on your site .... so you can tell which are the combination/winners in your pile of adverts. Of course, with £500/month and lots of keywords variations, it can take awhile to get meaningful data to analyse.

I've no idea who Nikki from BB is. I don't watch it. I've watched a few early episodes, but never really got into it - especially when they started having "posh channels" giving more footage than my free TV gets; it makes you feel annoyed, angry, pee'd off and excluded..... ergo I walk away, completely disinterested.

I can get Georgian TV in the UK (see here and here), plus most of the Russian TV, and there's some interesting stuff on TV1 Ukraine.

When out the UK (I don't watch a lot of English TV), I use hidemya$$ to get any TV I want to watch. We're in Romania, and something that I find, is that if you speak both Italian and Russian (which is a strange mix), Romanian isn't that difficult to understand.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Burst water main not far away has stopped water supply to the house.

We have enough to have given the dogs some water, the cats some and to keep the horses going for at least the morning in this weather. After that I'm edgey.
