Can't get too excited about bathrooms. I do like a "rainwater" shower head but... Well Kitchens are far more exciting :j

    !!

...well I have no washing machine /kitchen/lounge/ back room, hallway but I DO have a chrome square rain shower head in the new shower and its so lovely as we have strong pressure.......it splashes all over the body and the glass walls .....and then makes me think of limescale stains again :( we turned it on once and coo-ed over it and haven't turned it back on since.

FC - I hope that your good deeds are repaid by all the good karma you must be generating :A

...we have had help from MIL when son was a baby and many other things and she would lay down her life for her grandchildren so it's just our turn to help her ...OH's brother has chipped in too but the other 2 can't help.

The downside of running your own business (especially a creative one in a high risk sector) is that you can get dinged for £1000's at any time.

We supply chains that could go into administration at any time and no-one has any idea. Word does go around though and I got a tip off from a fabric agent recently to be careful of one we supply.

As long as what is outstanding doesn't take you down you can do it. We try to have a gap between deliveries so can hold one back of an invoice is late or there are rumours.

A chain can go into administration and all the suppliers get stuffed but to the general public, it's still there trading as normal, selling it's 'free' stock at discount and then it get's sold and they set up all over again.

I don't think the monies he is owed will get paid and he is kicking himself as he did 2 tours and the 1st wasn't paid before he did the 2nd and he knew he should have pulled out but then you let down the fans. It's overseas too so a simple ccj isn't going to work either.

ut we have had to close the purse now as a few unexpected happenings happened this week (is that correct grammar NGD?)

1; not a bad one but have had some large orders in so got to keep cashflow strong so no more divis for now

2; MIL new living arrangements we have to fund until her pension credit and stuff kick in. It's costly

3; bad phone call today from one of siblings who has just been dinged for a large sum (5 figs) and is now in the s***.

Has helped me in the past, will live on dust for as long as needs to but I had to make transfer today and don't know when it will come back. Family innit.

So, think of me NP's as I sit here in my rotting camping kitchen, looking at the room next door full of tools, and it's new concrete floor lined with rows pipes and sockets hanging out the wall. It could be like this for a while.:(

ouch. sorry about the change of plans.

hope you get the nice returns after this.

Lots of good karma credits though.

    Nice weather for camping anyway.

    :rotfl:rofl

Well, tomorrow off to visit the uninhabitable house we own down by the seaside.......The Dream....which we hope doesn't become The Nightmare :)

I mean we can't even make a cup of tea in it as the electrics are so dangerous we could touch the socket and fry / sizzle/ turn into one of those skeleton cartoons.

But we have the bikes in the boot and tomorrows MSE day is to pack a picnic and cycle to Joss Bay and Broadstairs and do some more sea bobbing, collect some more bailiff letters and chat to our new neighbours who are a very interesting, if slightly eccentric bunch.
    Night all :)

I remember limescale from when I used to visit my cousins in Woking. I could never drink their tap water when I was a child, yuk!.

Anyone watched Luther on telly or t'interweb?
It's been glorious so far but also, don't watch alone, it's like a horror movie.
Best telly I've seen in a while. What am I saying? I've hardly seen any telly all year but it's the vac and I intend to watch a series or two.

Got three books to read. The Pratchett/Baxter sequel to the long Earth about infinite ininhabited parallel worlds we can all just step into. Uninhabited by humans I should say.
A book by a very unPC comedian who sounds like he should be related to Susan Boyle but isn't and a serious book about paradoxes (Poundstone's Labyrinths of Reason).

    Good stuff!

Well it will be a nightmare but, you can do it. Do things in the right order (structure/ roof, elec/ plumbing and fixtures and decorating) be persistent and you will get there in a realistic time. :)

I don't watch that much TV and haven't seen Luther. I may give it a go if you like it that much :)

Can't say I have - I was in the same hall of residence as an undergrad with Ruth Wilson who I think is/ was in Luther. Didn't really have a lot of time for her then (nor her me I'm sure) so I'm not wasting my precious tv-watching time on her now!

Have you been watching The Returned? Comes highly recommended by myself and lemonjelly. Plus its only in series 1 so there is a lot less to catch up on ;)

When is it on? Is it the series with a Mogwai soundtrack that viva and chewie talked about a while back?
